Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect clogging of the subject spout without requirement of watch by a watchman while saving workers and labors by attaching a thermocouple to a smelt path of a smelt spout, detecting temperature change and sending an alarm. CONSTITUTION:A thermocouple 16 is attached to a smelt path of a smelt spout 11 in a soda-recovering boiler so that temperature change of smelt 14 at that position may be detected. An alarm is sent based on detection of the temperature change, thus carrying out the objective detection of clogging of the above- mentioned spout 11.
