Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare an accurate specimen for the judgment of color by suspending a dyed specimen cloth with a clip attached to a chain, and continuously and automatically drying and cooling the cloth in such a manner as to constantly keep definite water content and cloth temperature. CONSTITUTION:Motors 17b, 26b and 33 are energized by throwing switches 41, 42 and 43 to drive fans 17a, 26a and a conveyor chain 30. At the same time, a controller 40 supplies steam to a heater 16a via valves 16d and 23d and cold water to a radiator 23a according to the detection signals transmitted from sensors 19, 21 and 27 to control a drying chamber 13 and a cooling chamber 14 to prescribed temperatures. A dyed specimen cloth S is held with a clip 34 attached to the above continuously circulating chain 30, introduced through an inlet 22 into the drying chamber 13, dried with hot air sent from the fan 17a, transferred to the cooling chamber 14, cooled with cold air sent from the fan 26a and taken out of the chamber through an outlet 28.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention is applicable to dyeing a long fabric such as a woven fabric or a knitted fabric by continuously dyeing sample fabrics taken from the fabric during dyeing for color matching. The present invention relates to a device suitable for drying.

[Conventional technology] Advances in electronic engineering and optics have led to the development of superior color measuring instruments, and color matching, which is the determination of the color difference between a fabric or sample cloth and a standard color sample, is now possible in addition to the conventional judgment with the naked eye. It has become possible to perform extremely accurate measurements based on the measurement results of color embellishing equipment.

Dyeing of fabric is carried out under predetermined conditions after accurately weighing the dye and auxiliary agent according to the weight of the fabric, and the fabric is colored with a desired hue. Usually, when the same fabric is dyed multiple times,
Due to human and mechanical causes such as measurement errors of fabrics and dyes, variations in dyeing conditions, and the state of the fabric before dyeing, the hue of the dyed fabric is not necessarily constant for each dyeing.

For this reason, when dyeing a long piece of fabric with a dyeing machine, a part of the fabric is cut out during the dyeing process to make a sample fabric, which is then dried and compared with a standard color sample with the naked eye or with a colorimeter. The staining conditions are adjusted.

Conventionally, drying of the dyed sample cloth was carried out by passing the sample cloth cut from the wet cloth between a pair of rubber rollers pressed against each other to dehydrate it to a moisture content of about 60%, and then drying the sample cloth with hot air. The dryer is placed in the dryer, the degree of dryness is determined by the feel of the dryer, and the product is removed from the dryer and left in the air to cool.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Generally, the hue of a cloth or sample cloth changes depending on its moisture content; for example, a fabric with a high moisture content appears darker. Fabrics have different weights and textures depending on the season, such as winter, summer, spring and autumn, so the moisture content after dehydration tends to change. For this reason, the moisture content of sample fabrics dried using conventional drying equipment tends to vary, and the sample fabrics may be compared with standard color samples with the naked eye or with a colorimetric device while the sample fabrics are insufficiently dried or overdried.
