Abstract

PURPOSE:To beautifully finish a sealing surface and enable construction in a short period by applying a layer of primer to a joint place, and packing paste of castable sealing material, and covering a joint with casted sealing material. CONSTITUTION:Pretreatments of a surface to be covered with a joint 18, such as surface inspection, cleaning and inspection, etc., are carried out. A curing tape 22 is stuck to the edge of the opening 12 of a structure body 10 which edge forms the joint 18 and that of a window frame 16 which forms the joint 18. Next, primer is applied to the inner face of the joint 18 and paste of castable calking material 24 is packed in the joint 18 to predetermined depth. A casted sealing material 26 which has been casted into predetermined thickness and width in a factory, etc., is pressed into the joint 18. Then the curing tape 22 is peeled. Thus the construction period is shortened and dust is prevented from sticking to the surface of the sealing material.

Furthermore, sealing is performed on-site, and requires steps such as pressing with a spatula after filling with sealant, resulting in large differences in the finished product depending on the skill of the worker. In particular, the sealing material is in the form of a paste, and it tends to stick to the edges of the gap to be sealed, and creates unevenness on the sealing surface, resulting in an unsightly appearance.

The curing tape 22 is used to prevent the steel body 10 and the window frame 16 from getting dirty. ■ l] A primer is applied to the inner surface of the base 18, and a paste-like conventional irregular-shaped caulking material 24 is applied. Push inside. When this regular sealing material 26 is pushed into the joint 8, it is integrated with the filled paste-like irregular sealing material 24 and hardens. That is, the paste-like irregularly shaped sealing material 24 is different from the shaped sealing material 2.
It also plays the role of adhesive in step 6.

In addition, as for the material of the fixed-shaped sealing material 26, the same material as the paste-like irregular-shaped sealing material 24 containing silicone as a main component is good. Further, the regular sealing material 26 may be shaped in advance into a rectangular frame shape so that it can be inserted into the gap between the frame 10 and the window frame 16 as it is. Alternatively, it may be formed into a rod shape, cut into a predetermined length as necessary, and packed.

The regular shaped sealing material 26 is shaped by pouring a paste-like sealing material into a mold made of foamed polyethylene or a mold release agent according to the shape on site, and taking it out after hardening. In this case, it can be preformed in a factory or the like, and almost no on-site curing period is required.
