Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain data written in an IC chip or to make possible the erase of the data without adhering a light-shielding covering film on the opening part of an IC package by a method wherein an EPROM is provided with a freely openable and closable shutter, by which the opening part sisshut and the irradiation of ultraviolet rays on the IC chip is intercepted. CONSTITUTION:Data is written in an IC chip mounted in an IC package 1 and thereafter, a shutter 3 is shut and an opening part 2 is blocked. Whereupon, ultraviolet rays are not irradiated on the IC chip 4 and the data programmed in the chip 4 is maintained. On the other hand, in case the programmed data is erased and another data is inputted, a projecting piece 3a of the shutter is pushed to open the shutter 3 and ultraviolet rays are led in through the opening part 2. The chip 4 is irradiated with these led-in ultraviolet rays and the programmed data are all erased. Thereby, even if a light-shielding covering film is not adhered, the irradiation of ultraviolet rays is intercepted by simply shutting the shutter 3, data programmed in the chip 4 is protected and when the shutter 3 is opened, the data is easily erased.

り付け、剥離により行なっていた作業を簡略化できる効
果がある。
