Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the friction of a magnetic head and a magnetic card and to improve reliability by providing a dust-proof shutter for preventing the breakage of a reading head and a writing head caused by the dust. CONSTITUTION:A large shutter 1 covers an entire groove where the magnetic card passes and a small shutter 2 exists in the groove where the magnetic card passes to prevent the dust from entering the groove with the large shutter 1. When the magnetic card 4 is actually inserted, the large shutter 1 and the small shutter 2 are pushed by the magnetic card 4 to be opened, and read and write is performed on the magnetic card 4 by the magnetic head 3. Thus, the dust adhering to the magnetic head 3 is removed.
