Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the vertical width of a coating material recovering chamber by providing a pair of right and left flow regulating plates, respectively, in the wind path parts of both right and left sides of a conveyor when viewed in the transporting direction of articles to be coated and disposing the respective flow regulating plates in such a manner that the discharge ports are deviated to a conveyor side. CONSTITUTION:The coating material mists in a coating chamber 1 are fed into the coating material recovering chamber 2 by the air flow generated by the ventilation effect which is generated by a blasting means S and a discharging means H. In the point recovering chamber 2, the respective flow regulating plates 7 have a pair of the right and left inclined guide parts A when viewed in the transporting direction of the articles T to be coated. The discharge ports 8 are formed between the lower parts of these inclined guide parts A. In addition, trough parts B for running the washing water supplied to the inclined guide parts A are provided on the top end side of the respective inclined guide parts A. The booth is so constituted that the coating material mists are captured in the washing water at the time when the air passes the discharge ports 8 of the flow regulating plates 7. The need for running the air contg. the coating material mists below the conveyor is, therefore, eliminated and the vertical width of the coating material recovering chamber is decreased.

Conventionally, one baffle plate is disposed so as to bypass the conveyor device, which has the disadvantage of increasing the vertical width of the paint recovery chamber.

To explain further, the outlet of the baffle plate is located below the conveyor device, and the air containing paint mist flowing toward the outlet flows between the conveyor device and each inclined guide part of the baffle plate. It will pass through the space between. Therefore,
For the flow of the air, it is necessary to make the distance between the conveyor device and each inclined guide part of the baffle plate sufficiently large;
As a result, the rectifying plate has to be disposed at a large distance below the conveyor device, which inconveniently increases the vertical width of the paint recovery chamber.

Incidentally, in order to form a paint booth, it is common to form a pit and use the inside of the pit as a paint recovery chamber. However, there is also a type where the entire painting booth is installed on the ground side. As mentioned above, when the vertical width of the paint recovery chamber increases, a deep pit must be formed, and when the entire paint booth is installed on the ground side, it becomes necessary to form a deep pit. The height of the painting booth from the ground is increased, and in either type, if the vertical width of the paint recovery chamber becomes large, the construction of the painting booth is disadvantageous.

That is, the second characteristic configuration is that each of the current plates is provided with a pair of left and right inclined guide parts, and the discharge port is formed between the lower portions of the inclined guide parts, when viewed in the conveying direction of the article to be coated. and is configured to include a washing water flow angle gutter section on the upper end side of each inclined guide section for supplying washing water to the inclined guide section, and a bottom portion of the washing water flow angle gutter section on the conveyor device side of the rectifier plate. is characterized in that it is provided with a receiving frame that is positioned at the same height as the lower end of the conveyor device and receives and supports the lower end of the conveyor device and the bottom of the washing water flow angle gutter section. .

Further, a third characteristic configuration is that each of the baffle plates is provided with one inclined guide part which becomes lower toward the conveyor device, and the lower part of the inclined guide part and the mouth forming member disposed opposite thereto. Paint mist is captured in the cleaning water by a pair of left and right baffle plates that act separately on the air passages on both the left and right sides of the conveyor device and have separate discharge ports.
This eliminates the need for air containing paint mist to flow down the conveyor system.

By locating the discharge ports provided on each baffle plate toward the conveyor device side, the air flows as much as possible toward the conveyor device side, that is, toward the object to be painted, thereby preventing paint from adhering to the object to be painted. This makes it possible to improve the adhesion efficiency of the paint to the article to be coated.

To explain, it is a good idea to form the discharge ports provided on each baffle plate so that they are not biased toward the conveyor device, such as by locating them at the center of the width of the baffle plate or on the side farther away from the conveyor device. However, in this case, the amount of paint that is discharged without adhering to the article to be coated is likely to increase due to the flow of air. In comparison, if the air is made to flow as much as possible toward the conveyor device side, that is, toward the object to be coated, the paint will easily adhere to the object to be coated, and the efficiency of adhesion of the paint to the object to be coated can be improved. becomes.

To explain further, if the receiving frame receives and supports the lower end of the conveyor device and the bottom of the washing water flow angle gutter section, if they are positioned at different heights, the receiving frame has a receiving portion for the conveyor device and a supporting portion for the conveyor device. The bottom of the washing water flow angle gutter section and the receiving part are provided at different heights, which has the disadvantage that the receiving frame has to be formed into a complicated shape. If the bottom of the flow angle gutter section is located at the same height, the receiving frame can have a simple shape, which is advantageous for simplifying the support structure for the conveyor device and the current plate. Incidentally, it is also possible to attach the cleaning water flow angle gutter to the case part of the conveyor device and have the receiving frame receive and support only the conveyor device, but in this case, the strength of the case part of the conveyor device may be increased more than necessary. There are disadvantages that must be increased, making it difficult to put it into practical use.

Since the air containing paint mist does not need to flow below the conveyor device, the outlet of the baffle plate is located below the conveyor device to form an air flow path between the conveyor device and the baffle plate. Compared to the conventional art, the amount of downward protrusion of the current plate relative to the conveyor device can be reduced, and the vertical width of the paint recovery chamber can be reduced. Therefore, when forming a paint booth by forming a pit, the depth of the pit can be reduced, and when the entire paint booth is installed on the ground side, the ground clearance of the paint booth can be reduced.
