Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the sailing resistance of a vessel when it moves in the sailing mode, i.e., when the propeller is accommodated, by interlocking the rise/fall of the propeller with opening/closing of lid plates, and thereby enclosing a propeller accommodating chamber with the lid plates when the propeller is in accommodation. CONSTITUTION:When a propeller shaft 28 to which a propeller 30 is secured, is pulled up into a propeller accommodating chamber 32 by turning a handle 38, lid plates 34a, 34b are turned through links 42a, 42b round hinges 36a, 36b to shut the opening of the propeller accommodating chamber 32, which causes being flush with the undersurface of the hull 10. When the handle 38 is moved downward, the lid plates 34a, 34b open interlockedly, and the propeller shaft 28 tilts down through a universal joint 26. Now the propeller 30 secured at the foremost protrudes at the undersurface of the hull 10 and is rotated by an engine 22 to generate the propulsive force. This decreases the sailing resistance of the vessel when it moves in the sailing mode.

(Background of the Invention) Relatively large yachts are equipped with an engine (referred to as an inboard engine) inside the hull, and can choose between sail-based sailing and engine-based sailing using a propeller.
It is known that navigation is possible using either one or a combination of both. On the other hand, in yachts, it is necessary to minimize the resistance of the hull. For this reason, the blades of the propulsion propeller were made foldable, and when sailing with the propulsion propeller stopped, the blades were folded parallel to the propeller axis to reduce resistance. .

In other words, each blade of this propulsion propeller is mounted so that it can rotate backwards with a bin perpendicular to the propeller axis, and when sailing, each blade is folded backwards by the water current and folded parallel to the propeller axis, and when the engine is running, At times, each blade is opened by centrifugal force to function like a normal 111 propeller.

(Objective of the Invention) The present invention was made in view of the above circumstances, and provides an engine that can improve rolling performance without the propeller shaft or propeller acting as resistance at all during sailing without using a propulsion propeller. (Structure of the Invention) According to the present invention, the object of the present invention is to provide a propeller storage chamber opening at the bottom of the boat, a lifting position in the propeller storage chamber, and a propeller storage chamber in an engine-equipped yacht that can select between sailing and engine running. The propeller is characterized by comprising a propulsion propeller that can be raised and lowered between a lowered position exposed further downward, a lid plate that closes the propeller storage chamber, and an interlocking mechanism that closes the lid plate at a lifted position of the propulsion propeller. This is achieved by a yacht with an engine.

22 is an inboard engine installed near the center of the ship's hull. A propeller shaft 28 is connected to the output shaft of the engine 22 via a clutch 24 and a universal joint 26. This propeller shaft 28 penetrates the wall of a propeller storage chamber 32 (described later) and protrudes outside the hull 10, and a propulsion propeller 30 is attached to its rear end, and this propeller 30 can be raised and lowered as described later.

A propeller housing chamber 32 is formed in the hull 10 and opens at the bottom of the ship. A pair of left and right cover plates 34 (34a, 34b) are attached to the opening of the propeller housing chamber 32 so as to be openable and closable. A cover plate 34 is attached to the left and right opening edges of the propeller storage chamber 32 with hinges 36 (36a, 36b, see Figures 3A and 3B).
1.3A and 4A in which the opening 2 is closed, and the position shown in FIGS. 2.3B and 4B in which the opening is opened downward about the hinge 36. The outer surface of the double value plate 34 is a closed third
It is made into a curved surface that smoothly extends to the bottom of the ship as shown in Figure A and 4A. Further, each hinge 36 is installed at a position such that it is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the hull 10 when the double value plate 34 is in the open state shown in FIGS. 3B and 4B.

38 is a lift handle. This handle 38 is the hull 1
It extends into the propeller housing chamber 32 through the deck of the stern of the ship, and its lower end is pin-coupled to a bearing tube 40 that supports the propeller shaft 28. 42 (42a, 42

connects the lower part of the handle 38 and the cover plate 34.

Therefore, when the handle 38 is pulled up, the propeller shaft 28 is bent around the universal joint 26, and the propulsion propeller 30 can be stored in the propeller storage chamber 32 (3rd A,
Figure 4A). At this time, the lid plate 34 is lifted up by the link 42, and the propeller storage chamber 34 is opened as shown in FIG. 3Δ4A.
When closed, the bottom of the ship becomes a smooth curved surface. Also handle 38
When pushed down, the M plate 34 is pushed open downward by the link 42 [Figures 3B and 4B], and at the same time, the propeller shaft 28 is lowered to expose the propulsion propeller 30 below the bottom of the ship.

In this embodiment, the lifting and lowering of the handle 38 is transmitted to the lid plate 34 by the link 42 to open and close it, but the two may be linked by other interlocking mechanisms such as wires. Further, both may be electrically linked.

For example, the lifting and lowering of the propeller 30 and the opening and closing of the cover plate 34 may be performed by separate electric motors, and the two may be electrically linked. Furthermore, it is also possible to connect and disconnect the clutch 24 in conjunction with the lifting and lowering of the handle 38. For example, when the handle 38 is raised and the propeller is in the retracted position, the clutch 24 can be disengaged.

In the embodiment described above, the cover plate 34 is attached to the hull 1 by means of a hinge 36.
0 and is opened and closed centering around this hinge 36, but the present invention may also allow the cover plate to be slidable in the front and rear or left and right directions along the bottom of the boat. Alternatively, the cover plate may be provided with a hole or a notch through which the propeller shaft passes, and the cover plate may be closed when the engine is running to reduce resistance.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, the present invention provides a propeller storage chamber for storing a propulsion propeller in the hull, and when the propulsion propeller is stored, the propeller storage chamber is closed with a cover plate so that the propulsion propeller can be raised and lowered and the cover plate Since the opening and closing of the propeller are linked, the propeller storage chamber does not open at the bottom of the ship when the propulsion propeller is stored, and navigation resistance during sailing can be reduced.
