Generally, a printing roll method is used to print on the surface of electrical cables and the like. However, since the printing character is fixed in the printing roll method, it is necessary to replace the printing roll in order to change the printed content. For this reason, it is preferable to use a dot matrix printing method, such as that used in printers that are computer terminals, for printing on electric cables. but,
The conventional print head device used for dot matrix printing has multiple rows of dot prints arranged in one column and is commonly supported by one base, so it can be printed on a flat surface such as paper. It is possible to print on a substrate, but it is also possible to print on a substrate whose surface is not flat but curved, such as an electric cable.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIGS. 1 and 2 show a print head device 10 according to the present invention. ,1-2,1-3,1-

In the illustrated embodiment, the substrate 12 is an electrical cable, and the print head assembly 10 is in contact with the electrical cable via a thermal transfer tape 14. Therefore, each dot printing section 1-1 to 1-7 is

In addition, in the illustrated embodiment, adjacent dot printed areas are shifted in the direction of movement of the electric cable (in the direction of the arrow in Figure 1), and in the case of Figure 1, they are arranged diagonally at equal intervals in the direction of the arrow. has been done. When the dot printing areas are staggered in this way, the size of each dot printing area can be made larger than the spacing between the lines, which increases the density of dots per character and improves the freshness of the print. It's advantageous.

Next, to describe the usage state of the above printing head device, as shown in FIG.
-7 is energized, and in the 2nd to 4th rows, the dot printing part 1-
1 and 1-5 are energized. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the dot printed portions 1-2 to 1-7 are sequentially shifted in the direction of movement of the electric cable, so for example, in the first and fifth columns, the dot printed portions in each row are 1- 7
The energization is the quickest, and after the shift of the dot printing part is changed, the power is applied sequentially to 1-6, 1-5, 1-4, 1-3,
1-2 is energized. In this way, the dot printing in the rows can be aligned by temporally shifting the energization of the dot printing parts. Particularly, in the present invention, since the plural lines of dot printing parts 1-1 to 1-7 are independently supported by the corresponding leaf springs 3-1 to 3-7, as shown in FIG. All of the dot printing parts follow the curved surface of the electric cable and make sure contact, making it possible to print the sign clearly.
Incidentally, the ink applied to the surface of the electric cable side of the thermal transfer tape 14 is melted by the heat generated by the dot printing portion, and is transferred to the surface of the electric cable to print. In particular, it is preferable that the pen nibs 2-1 to 2-7 have an acute angle shape, since this improves freshness.

In the above embodiment, the dot printing parts 1-1 to 1-7 are in the form of pen tips, but they may also be of the needle type, and the printing method may be other than thermal transfer printing. Ink ribbon, thermal printing,
Any method of engraving may be used. Further, in the above embodiment, the printing medium 12 is moved, but the printing medium may be fixed and the printing head device may be moved. Further, the means for supporting each dot printing part may be arbitrary other than the above-mentioned embodiments. For example, the dot printing part may be supported by a leaf spring and pressed against the printing material by its own weight,
The leaf spring may be pivotally supported on the support rod 4 and pressed against the printing material by the weight of the leaf spring and the dot printing section. Furthermore, one character is not limited to 7 rows and 5 columns, but can have any number of rows and columns if the dot matrix method is used.

According to the present invention, as described above, the dot printing parts are independently supported by corresponding leaf springs so as to follow the curved surface of the printing material, so that the surface of the electric cable etc. is not curved. There is a practical benefit of being able to perform dot printing on the surface of a printed material with good freshness.
