Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the development of step difference by applying Ni (alloy) plating layer almost in upper half part and thermal spraying layer of Ni-Cr series alloy almost in lower half part in surface of a copper (alloy)-made mold body and making higher hardness on the thermal spraying layer than that of the plating layer. CONSTITUTION:The Ni-plating layer 2 is applied almost in the upper half part of mold base material 1 and the Ni-Cr series alloy thermal spraying layer 3 is applied almost in the lower half part of mold. According to coming from the upper part to the lower part of Ni-Cr series alloy thermal spraying layer, this is gradually made thicker. Further, on the surface of this Ni-Cr series alloy thermal spraying layer 3, Ni series thermal spraying layer 4 is applied. The hardness on this Ni thermal spraying layer is made higher than the hardness on the Ni plating layer at the upper half part. By this method, the development of step difference at medium step part in the mold can be prevented and also the upper part has wear resistance together with seizing resistance, and according to coming toward the lower part, function having great wear resistance can be provided.
