Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a connector device hardly generate the abrasion of a terminal and the poor connection by providing a contact, a holder to hold the contact, and a displacement mechanism to displace the holder so as to displace the position of the contact. CONSTITUTION:At one end side of connector case half bodies 2a and 2b, a switching connection member 4 such as a hinge, for example, is installed to make it possible to open and close the insertion port 3 of a connector case. Members 5a and 5b are eccentric cams rotated by a specific driving device, and when the eccentric cams 5a and 5b are operated, the connector case half bodies 2a and 2b are made into the condition shown as one-dotted chain lines in the figure. At the time when an IC card 10 is inserted to the insertion port 3, the connector case half bodies 2a and 2b are opened, and thereby the electrode terminals 11a and 11b of the IC card 10 are not contacted to the electrode terminals 1a and 1b, and the electrode terminals 11a and 11b, and 1a and 1b, are hardly abraded. In such a way, almost no abrasion of the contact is generated and a poor connection is hardly generated, even though the number of the insertion and the removal is extensively increased.

It is well known that various types of connector devices have been proposed in the past. For example, there is a connector as shown in FIG. In the figure, 21 is a connector case made of insulating material, 22
A and 22b are a pair of electrode terminals made of a spring material, and when a printed circuit board having electrode terminals 23a and 23b, for example, is inserted into this connector, the electrode terminals 22
Although the electrode terminals 22a and 22b are made of a spring material, the electrode terminals 22a and 23a and the electrode terminals 22b and 23b are pressed against each other, and the electrode terminals 22b and 23b are pressed against each other. A good electrical connection can be made between the two. Incidentally, recently, IC cards with embedded IC chips have begun to be used for various purposes, but in order to connect this IC card to a predetermined device and read a predetermined information signal from it, it is necessary to connect the IC card and the main body of the device. A connection method is required between them. Although various methods may be considered as this connection means, connectors, which have been used for electrical connections, seem to be the best from the cost standpoint. In other words, I.C.
When the card is inserted into the connector of the main body of the device, the information on the IC chip can be read by the main body of the device via the connector. However, the number of times an IC card is inserted and removed is enormous, compared to the case of printed circuit boards that are incorporated into various devices. The wear of the electrode terminals on the IC card side and/or the device main body side due to insertion and removal cannot be ignored, and the spring characteristics of the electrode terminals also deteriorate, increasing the risk of electrical connection failure.

A first object of the present invention is to provide a connection means in which the terminals hardly wear out even if the terminals are inserted and removed a large number of times, and connection failures are less likely to occur. A second object of the present invention is to provide a low-cost connection means that is less prone to connection failures. The object of the present invention is to provide a contact, a holder for holding the contact, and a method for displacing the position of the contact.
It is distantly related to the connector device characterized by having a displacement of 5tys for displacing the holding body.

FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of one embodiment of a connector device according to the present invention. In the figure, la and lb are a pair of electrode terminals made of a predetermined spring material, the electrode terminal 1a is attached to a connector case half 2a made of a predetermined insulating material, and the electrode terminal 1b is a pair of electrode terminals made of a predetermined spring material. It is attached to a connector case half 21 made of a predetermined insulating material. When the connector cases 2a and 2b are completely combined,
The connector case is similar to the connector case explained in FIG. 2, but in the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, the connector case is configured so that the insertion port 3 side is expanded. That is, an opening/closing connection member 4 such as a hinge is attached to one end side of the connector case halves 2a and 2b,
The connector case is configured so that the insertion port 3 side can be opened and closed. Although not shown, for example, when an IC card is not inserted, an opening biasing means such as a spring is used to open the connector case halves 2a and 2b as shown in FIG. is provided. 5a and 5b are eccentric cams rotated by a predetermined driving means, and in the state shown in FIG.
When the eccentric cams 5a and 5b are activated, that is, when the eccentric cams 5a and 5b are driven to the state shown by the dotted chain line in the figure, the eccentric cams 5a and 5b
5b, the connector cases 2a, 2b are in the state shown by the dotted chain line in the same figure, and are similar to normal connectors. The eccentric cams 5a, 51+ are driven by the IC card 1.
When the electrode terminals 11a and llb of 0 are inserted into the insertion port 3 of the connector case which is open and positioned at a predetermined position, this is detected by, for example, an optical sensor and can be carried out by a driving means such as an ultrasonic motor. Alternatively, the IC card 10 may be provided with a protrusion 12, and the protrusion 12 may be turned on by turning on the switch 6 of the ultrasonic motor. When the connector device is configured as described above, the connector case halves 2a and 2b are open as shown by the solid line in FIG. The electrode terminals 11a, llb do not come into pressure contact with the electrode terminals 1a, lb on the connector side, so when the IC card 10 is inserted, the electrode terminals 11a, llb and la, l
b is less likely to wear out. When the IC card 10 is inserted, the eccentric cam 5a. Since the connector case halves 2a, 2b are pressed and closed by the connector case 5b, the connector case half body 2a, 2b is made of a spring material. Electrode terminal 1
A comes into pressure contact with lla, and electrode terminal 1b comes into pressure contact with 11b, and a good electrical connection is established between the two. When the IC card 10 is removed, this is detected by a predetermined detection means, and this signal is sent to a driving means such as an ultrasonic motor to drive the eccentric cams 5a and 5b to the position shown by the solid line in FIG. position, the connector case halves 2a and 2 are opened by the opening biasing means such as a spring (not shown).
The insertion port 3 side with b is opened, and the pressure contact between the electrode terminals 1 and lla is released, and the pressure contact between the electrode terminals 1b and 11b is released, so that the electrode terminals are less likely to wear out when removed.

The connector device according to the present invention includes a contact, a holder for holding the contact, and a displacement mechanism for displacing the holder in order to displace the position of the contact. In this case, the holder is displaced by the displacement mechanism, and the contacts are accordingly displaced, for example, from the contact position to the non-contact position, so the contacts wear out and the number of times they are inserted and removed is enormous. Even in such a case, there is hardly any wear on the contacts 1~, and connection failures are less likely to occur, and this connection means has the advantage of being able to be provided at low cost.
