(従来技術) 従来、金属やコンクリートなど被研磨物の表面

被研磨面を研磨して行く形態のものが公知であ
る。そしてこの種の研磨ホイールは、放射状の研
磨片の回転で研磨するから、放射状研磨片の数が
それ程多くなくて植立密度が比較的粗である場合
には研磨中に出る切粉が詰まることが少く、また
各研磨片間の空間を外に向つて空気が流れるた
め、被研磨面を空冷して焼付けなどの心配も少
く、さらに上記空気の流出で研磨ホイールが被研
磨面に真空吸着され、そのためハンドグラインダ
ーの操作性が良いなどの長所があつた。

よつて被研磨物の表面に研磨焼けや研磨割れを生
ずることになるなどの諸欠点があつた。

の環状(第1,2図)若しくは複数枚ブロツクA
の複数分割状(第3,4図)に配列、接着剤など
で植立固定してなるものである。なお上記第3,
4図の実施例の場合、複数分割された各複数枚ブ
ロツクAの間隙部に適宜の支い物スペーサーを介
入するようにしてもよい。また上記のように構成
した研磨ホイールの各研磨片1の研磨砥粒面に、
第1〜4図に示す如く、例えばシリコン、テフロ
ン、ウレタン樹脂など剥離剤でなる目詰り防止剤
6が吹付け、塗布、浸漬含浸などによつてコーテ
イングされると、目づまりの防止上効果的であ
る。そして上記構成の研磨ホイールは、ホイール
デイスク5の軸孔4を通じてデイスクグラインダ

インガーひれ片を形成している各研磨片1がその
各切条2または切込孔3によつて回転円周方向の
空気旋回流を誘起して放熱作用、発熱抑止作用を
助勢するもので、目づまり、目こぼれの防止によ
つて割れ、焼け、傷のない美麗な鏡面研磨などが
容易に行えるなど卓抜した効果がある。
