The catheter is made of a synthetic resin that is harmless to the human body, such as fluororesin, and as shown in Figure 1, it has a small diameter part 1a that is punctured into a blood vessel, a large diameter part 1b at the proximal end, and a tapered part 1c between them. It is formed into a thin tube with a Then, as shown in Fig. 1A, insert the metal inner needle 2.
is fitted into the small diameter part 1a, and the tapered tip part 3a of the needle base 3, to which the proximal end of the inner needle 2 is fixed, is fitted into the large diameter part 1b, and the needle base 3 is inserted into the blood vessel.
The piston of the syringe connected to the syringe is pulled out a little to collect blood, and after confirming that the blood vessel has been properly punctured, the inner needle 2 is pulled out, and the adapter 4 is fitted into the large diameter portion 1b as shown in Figure 1B. Blood, medicine, and nutrient solution are injected. In other words, since conventional catheters are composed of a single tube with different diameters, the large diameter portion at the proximal end is quite thin and has a slightly larger diameter than the needle base or adapter, and is also less hard. Therefore, it is difficult to grip and handle the inner needle stably with the fingertips, and when pulling out the inner needle or inserting the adapter, the inner needle may be moved carelessly, causing pain. In addition, there are other problems, such as the inability to identify the dimensions of the small diameter portion and the inner needle, the rotation during puncturing which causes extra pain, and the inability to connect depending on the structure of the adapter.

It was devised primarily to solve the above-mentioned problem that catheters, which were originally composed of a single tube with different diameters, had a large diameter section that was still quite small in diameter and had low hardness, making it difficult to handle. It is characterized by having a structure in which a sleeve having a flange at the base end is fitted and fixed to the outer periphery of the large diameter part and the tapered part.

That is, the large diameter portion of the sleeve can be further enlarged and hardened to make it easier to handle, and the sleeve can also provide functions such as identification, rotation prevention, and connectivity with an adapter.

Figures 2 to 6 show the first embodiment of the present invention,
The catheter main body 11 is made of a fluororesin material and is formed into a tube of different diameters, including a small diameter portion 11a, a large diameter portion 11b at the proximal end, and a tapered portion 11c therebetween, and an appropriate synthetic resin, preferably a fluororesin material. A sleeve 12 is formed into a cylindrical shape and includes a main body portion 12a and a constricted portion 12b that tapers at the tip, and an auxiliary sleeve 12 made of fluororesin and formed into a short cylindrical shape with approximately the same diameter as the large diameter portion 11b. The main body part 12a and the constricted part 12b of the sleeve 12 are fitted into the large diameter part 11b and the tapered part 11c of the catheter main body 11, and the auxiliary sleeve 13 is fitted into the base of the main body part 12a of the sleeve 12. The end faces of the large diameter portion 11b and the large diameter portion 11b are substantially in contact with each other.

The sleeve 12 has a plurality of annular protrusions 12c on the inner circumferential surface of the constricted portion 12b, which form the tapered portion 11.
It is fixed to the catheter body 11 by biting into the catheter body 11. Further, a blade-shaped fixing plate 12d is provided that protrudes from the center to the tip of the sleeve 12 to both sides.
is provided by integral molding, and a collar 12e is provided by integral molding on the outer peripheral surface of the proximal end,
A locking portion 12f consisting of a notch is formed on the collar 12e at a position perpendicular to the fixing plate 12d. The inner surface of the hole 13a of the auxiliary sleeve 13 is formed into a tapered surface with a small diameter at the tip, and the outer circumferential surface has a plurality of annular protrusions 13b that bite into the main body 12a, thereby making the sleeve 12 Fixed.

At the same time, the tapered tip 3a is fitted into the hole 13a of the auxiliary sleeve 13 almost tightly. After collecting blood in the state shown in FIG.
Blood or the like is injected in the state shown in FIG. 7B, in which the sleeve a is tightly fitted into the hole 13a of the auxiliary sleeve 13 and further protrudes into the large diameter portion 11b.

In this embodiment, the hole 1 of the auxiliary sleeve 13
3a and the tip portion 4a of the plug-in adapter 4, the large diameter portion 1
There is no need to accurately finish the dimensions of 1b, and the productivity of the catheter body 11 is improved. Further, the catheter body 11 and the needle base 3 are connected to the locking portions 12f, 3.
Since it is fixed by c, this locking part 12
By checking the positional relationship between f, 3c and the opening at the tip of the inner needle 2, the puncture can be performed in the correct posture with the opening facing upward, and at the same time, the catheter body 11 does not rotate, so no unnecessary pain is caused. Further, since the distal end portion 4a of the adapter 4 reaches the large diameter portion 11b of the catheter body 11, there is no problem that blood or the like may accumulate and coagulate between the end faces of the auxiliary sleeve 13 and the large diameter portion 11b.

FIG. 8 shows a second embodiment of the present invention, in which the large-diameter portion 21b of the catheter body 21 is finished with dimensions to tightly fit the center tube 24a of the adapter 24, and the large-diameter portion
A fixing plate 22d is provided protruding near the tip of the sleeve 22 which is fitted and fixed over the sleeve 1b and the tapered portion 21c, and a collar 22e having a locking portion 22f consisting of a cutout is provided at the base end. adapter 24

As described above, according to the present invention, the tube is formed into a tube of different diameters, consisting of a small diameter part and a needle base that are punctured and placed in a blood vessel, a large diameter part at the proximal end into which an adapter is fitted and connected, and a tapered part between them. A sleeve having a flange at the proximal end is fitted and fixed on the outer periphery of the large diameter part and the tapered part of the catheter main body, so the large diameter part of the catheter main body is thickened by the sleeve, which makes it have a large diameter and high hardness. This makes it easy to grip and hold with your fingertips, and the flange at the proximal end of the sleeve prevents your fingertips from coming off, making it stable without causing pain due to careless movement when pulling out the inner needle or inserting the adapter. Can be handled well. Furthermore, since the inner surface of the catheter body has a shape without conventional steps or connecting edges, there is no fear of coagulation or destruction of blood cells, especially in the case of blood transfusion.

Furthermore, according to this proposal, the sleeve should be colored and marked with symbols to match the dimensions of the catheter so that the appropriate catheter can be identified and used, a fixing plate should be provided to ensure stable fixation to the skin surface, and the proximal end should be fixed to the skin surface stably. It is possible to provide added value such as providing a rotation prevention function to the collar and connecting it to the adapter so that it does not rotate.
