In a carding machine, in order to perform a good carding effect, it is necessary to make the gap gauge between the cylinder needle tip surface and the top needle tip surface as narrow as possible, but the accuracy of the cylinder needle tip surface The reality is that it cannot be made very narrow to avoid contact due to the accuracy of the needle.

The top bar is made of elongated cast iron with an inverted T-shaped cross section, and conventionally, after forming the shape through a predetermined machining process, the accuracy of the top needle cloth attachment surface was measured while measuring the residual stress of casting and the machining process. The deformation of the top bar caused by residual stress is manually corrected by twisting and twisting.

When attaching top clothing to the top bar modified above, if the accuracy of the correction is poor, the needle tip must be ground after attaching the top clothing. The top needle cloth attachment surface of the top bar must be corrected with high precision.

Conventionally, in order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, a thermosetting resin is applied to a surface plate, and the top needle cloth sticking surface of the top bar is pressed against the resin, so that a predetermined thickness is formed between the top needle cloth sticking surface and the surface plate. There is a method of manufacturing a top bar in which a resin layer is formed, the resin layer is heated, cured, adhered, and integrated on the top needle cloth attachment surface, the top bar is separated from the surface plate, and the lower surface of the resin layer is used as the top needle cloth attachment surface. but,
In this method, when the resin layer is cured, shear stress is generated on the resin layer and the top needle cloth attachment surface due to curing contraction of the resin, which causes the top bar to curve, making it difficult to achieve high accuracy. There are drawbacks.

In addition, a resin layer covering surface is formed on the top needle cloth sticking surface of the top bar to integrally fix the resin layer to the top bar body, and the surface of the resin layer is cut flat to form the top needle cloth sticking surface. A method of manufacturing the top bar to be formed has also been considered.

However, when cutting the resin layer, the top bar must be firmly fixed to withstand cutting resistance, but when fixing something with distortion, the distortion may be corrected to some extent, or conversely, the distortion may increase, so cutting Even if plane accuracy is sometimes achieved, when the fixation is released, the top bar elastically recovers and distortion occurs, making it difficult to achieve high accuracy. Furthermore, even if both ends of the top bar are fixed, the central portion easily bends and escapes due to the cutting force, so there is a drawback that high precision cannot be obtained even by cutting.

Furthermore, in the conventional top bar repair method described above, the resin layer is integrally bonded to the top bar, so if the top bar needs to be repaired again after the top clothing has been attached and used for a long time, the above method can be used. The drawback was that it required a great deal of effort to remove the resin layer.

The present invention eliminates the drawbacks of the above-mentioned conventional method of correcting a top bar for a carding machine, improves the accuracy of the top needle cloth application surface of the top bar, and makes it possible to easily remove the resin layer even when re-correction is required. The present invention provides a method for modifying a top bar for a carding machine.

Further, it is better to inject resin into the small hole formed in the top needle cloth attachment surface of the top bar in advance before placing the top bar main body, so that the small hole can be more reliably filled with resin.

In addition, resins include epoxy resin, polyester resin,
Although it is possible to speed up the curing time by uniformly heating the surface plate using a thermosetting resin such as a phenol resin, it is preferable to cure at room temperature since thermal distortion occurs.

As shown in FIG. 5, the top bar formed based on the above-described top bar correction method can obtain a highly accurate flat surface without distortion because the lower surface of the resin layer 10 is formed on a surface plate and cured at room temperature. .

The upper surface of the surface plate is made of a transparent plate (for example, glass) that allows ultraviolet rays to pass through, and an ultraviolet irradiation device consisting of a high-pressure mercury lamp is installed below it to irradiate the ultraviolet curable resin with ultraviolet rays to harden the resin. It is something.

The top bar correction method of the present invention is carried out by the method described above, and the top bar can be easily corrected without requiring the skilled work of manually twisting or knocking out the top bar as in the past.

In addition, when the conventional top bar and the resin layer are integrated and heat-cured, or when the resin layer is cut after being formed, the top bar is distorted and accuracy is reduced, which is a disadvantage. Since the resin layer is cured at room temperature without adhesion, an extremely high-precision top needle cloth attachment surface can be obtained.

In addition, even when re-adjustment is necessary, if the resin adheres to the top bar, it takes a lot of effort to remove the resin, but in the present invention, a non-adhesive film is formed on the surface where the top needle cloth is attached. Therefore, the resin layer can be easily removed using the top bar.

In addition, when the top bar modified by the above modification method is used and the top clothing is attached, the needle tip accuracy of the top clothing is good, there is no need for grinding, a good top needle tip is maintained for a long period of time, and the sliver quality is improved. This invention has excellent effects such as being able to improve.
