  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 液晶セルと、該液晶セルの下方に配設されたラ
    イトガイド部と、該ライトガイド部の側方に配設
    された光源とを具備する液晶表示装置において、 上記ライトガイド部は、一方の側面が光源と対
    向しており、上面が光源から離隔するにつれて徐
    々に下降する傾斜面として形成された第一のライ
    トガイドと、該第一のライトガイドの他方の側面
    に接して光源からの光が入射する入射面を備え、
    該入射光を液晶セルに向かつて反射する反射面を
    有していると共に、下面が第一のライトガイドの
    上方に位置して、該第一のライトガイドの上面の
    傾斜に沿つた形状に形成された第二のライトガイ
    ドとからなつており、さらに上面に反射面が形成
    された反射板が、上記光源の上部を覆い、第一の
    ライトガイドの上面と第二のライトガイドの下面
    との間に介在されていることを特徴とする液晶表
    示装置。
