DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a data transmission system in a data communication network, and more particularly in a data collection system.

The first is the polling method. In this method, the central control station issues a polling signal inviting the terminal station to transmit data. When the terminal station wants to transmit data, it receives this polling signal and
This is a so-called inquiry/response method that allows transmission for the first time. The disadvantages of this method are that the processing circuit of the terminal station becomes complicated due to the complicated transmission control procedure, and that the terminal station cannot access transmission at any time.

The second method is the contention method, in which all terminal stations connected to the network
Data can be sent at any time. However, if two or more terminal stations start transmitting at the same time, a "collision" of data will occur on the transmission path. As a result, all data from each terminal station becomes invalid, so that each terminal station retransmits the data. Therefore, during times when transmission data from each terminal station is concentrated or when there are a large number of subscriber terminal stations, the frequency of data collisions becomes quite high, and the efficiency of using the transmission path is greatly reduced.

Now, consider a case where data from the terminal 4i is sent to the central control device 1 via the terminal station 3n.
At this time, the switch 7 inside the terminal station 3n is tilted to the side shown by the broken line in FIG . The data is erased here, and only the data from the terminal station 3n is transmitted to the central control device 1.

As described above, in the present invention, the terminal station on the downstream side (terminal station close to the central control unit) gets priority for data transmission, but if the timing of data transmission overlaps, the terminal station on the upstream side will have a hard time receiving the data. This causes the inconvenience of not being able to complete the transmission. Therefore, the upstream terminal station, which is difficult to obtain priority, can obtain an average reception probability by making the transmission frequency higher than that of the downstream terminal station.

Another method for equalizing the reception probabilities is to provide each terminal station with a random number block with a different pattern, and to transmit data at the random number period.

According to the present invention, although the random access method is used in which each terminal can send data onto the transmission path at any time based on the data transmission cycle, data collisions that occur in conventional methods do not occur. Therefore, there is no need to consider various processes and controls after a data collision, and this can be achieved with simple transmission control. Furthermore, each terminal station has a simple configuration and is highly economical.

Further, by harmonizing the transmission priority of the terminal stations and the transmission period of the terminal stations, it is possible to give each terminal station equal transmission rights.

1 A plurality of terminal stations and a central control unit that collects and processes data from the plurality of terminal stations are connected in series through a transmission line, and the frequency of data transmission from each terminal station is controlled by
The farther the terminal station is from the central control device, the larger the size, and when one terminal station sends data, by switching the switch within that terminal station, the distance from the terminal station to the central control device is increased. On the other hand, if the terminal station erases all data sent from a distant upstream terminal station, transmits its own data to the central controller, and the terminal station does not transmit data,
A data transmission method characterized in that data transmitted from a terminal station upstream of the terminal station is transmitted to a central control device downstream of the terminal station by returning the switch in the terminal station to its original state.
