FIG. 4 shows a mound guard 2 attached to a portion of the vehicle body 1 behind the tire 5, and FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing an example of the conventional mound guard 2. As shown in FIG. Arrow A indicates the direction of travel of the vehicle, and arrow B indicates the lateral direction of the vehicle. The mudguard 2 shown in FIG. 5 has a mounting part 3 fixed to the vehicle body 1 and a mudguard part 4, and a bolt (not shown) is passed through a mounting hole 6 drilled in the mounting part 3. The mud guard 2 can be fixed to the vehicle body 1 by screwing the bolt onto the vehicle body 1. In this case, as shown in FIG. 6, the conventional mud guard 2 was installed with its mounting portion 3 along the panel surface of the vehicle body 1, so that the surface of the vehicle body 1 and the mounting portion 3 along this When water enters between the two, it is not drained and accumulates there, which causes rust on the vehicle body 1.

On the other hand, a structure has also been proposed in which a step is provided at the periphery of the mudguard that contacts the outer surface of the vehicle body, thereby forming an open space at the top, through which water droplets are drained. Since the upper part of the gap remains open, water such as muddy water can easily enter here, and when the car accelerates, etc., the muddy water that has entered can jump out of the open upper part of the gap and adhere to the outer surface of the car body. There is a fear. Also, since the open upper part of the space is exposed to the outside, there is a risk that the appearance will be spoiled.

Configuration In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has a drain groove that is inclined downwardly toward the inside of the vehicle in the lateral direction formed in the mounting part of the mudguard, and the entire upper part of the drain groove is covered by the vehicle body. We propose a configuration that

FIG. 1 is a perspective view similar to FIG. 5, showing an example of the mud guard 2 according to the present invention, and is a perspective view of A and B.
5 shows the traveling direction of the automobile and its lateral direction. The mudguard 2 shown in Fig. 1 also consists of a mounting part 3 to the vehicle body (see Fig. 4) and a mudguard part 4 (not shown) that hangs downward from the mounting part 4 and is inserted into a mounting hole 6. Bolts, screws, etc. are screwed onto the vehicle body 1, and the mat guard 2 is attached to the tire 5.
(Fig. 4) It is fixed to the rear part of the vehicle body.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a drainage groove 7 having a U-shaped cross section that slopes downward toward the inside in the lateral direction B of the automobile is formed in the mounting portion 3, and the upper part of this drainage groove 7 is The entire body is covered by a vehicle body 1.

By providing such a drainage groove 7, water that has entered from the periphery of the mounting part 3 between the mounting part 3 and the panel surface of the vehicle body 1 is actively drained out of the vehicle body while being guided by the drainage groove 7. be done. Therefore, water does not accumulate between the mounting portion and the vehicle body surface, and rusting on the vehicle body surface is effectively suppressed.

Since the drainage ditch 7 is inclined inward in the lateral direction of the vehicle, the discharged water does not scatter outward from the vehicle.

Further, since the upper part of the drain groove 7 is entirely covered by the vehicle body 1, water such as muddy water does not directly enter the groove 7. Moreover, the water that has entered the drain groove does not scatter from the upper part of the drain groove, but flows while being guided by the drain groove 7 and the vehicle body surface above the drain groove, and is discharged from the groove 7. Therefore, there is no possibility of muddy water adhering to the surface of the vehicle body. Furthermore, since the drainage groove 7 is not visible from the outside, the appearance of the vehicle body is not impaired. Moreover, since the upper part of the drain groove 7 is covered by the vehicle body itself, there is no need for a special member to cover this upper part, and an increase in cost can be prevented.

Furthermore, by forming the drainage groove 7 in the mudguard mounting part 3, the rigidity of this mounting part can be increased, and even if the lower end of the mudguard 2 hits a stone or the like and deforms while the car is running, the mounting part 7 deformation can be prevented. Therefore, deformation of the vehicle body portion to which the mounting portion 3 is fixed can be prevented.

As shown in FIG. 3, it is advantageous to set the inclination angle θ of the drainage groove 7 to about 10° with respect to the panel surface or horizontal plane of the vehicle body 1 facing it.

Effects According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the inconvenience of water from accumulating between the muzzle guard and the car body with a simple configuration without increasing costs, and it is possible to suppress rusting on the car body. In addition, water will not scatter from the drain, and there is no risk of damaging the appearance of the vehicle body. The drainage groove also made it possible to increase the rigidity of the mudguard mounting area.
