Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a panel coated with a good quality and defectless enamel layer by providing an escape hole of the size not interfering with a metallic sheet part bulging out along the convex of a punch at the center of a die at the time of forming a protrusion on the sheet with the punch and die. CONSTITUTION:The escape hole 5 is provided at the center of a die 4. The hole 5 has an inner diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the punch 1 and a depth greater than the height H of the protrusion 6 formed on a metallic sheet 3, and does not interfere with the protrusion 6 bulging along the convex 1a of the punch 1. The die 4 is positioned on the front 3a of the sheet 3 and the punch 1 on the rear 3b, the die 4 is driven downward to press the sheet 3 with the convex 1a, and the protrusion 6 is bulged into the hole 5. Consequently, local strain and cracking are not caused on the surface of the protrusion 6. Many protrusions are formed on the sheet 3, and a panel 7 consisting of the main sheet part 7a and the bent edge 7b is obtained. An enamel is applied on the surface and fired, and the enameled panel 7 is obtained.

Recently, enamel panels, which are metal plates whose surfaces are coated with an enamel layer, have come to be widely used as interior and exterior materials for buildings. This enamel panel has excellent durability and aesthetic appearance, but since the unpatterned enamel layer has a monotonous appearance, demand for patterned enamel panels is increasing. In order to produce this patterned enamel panel, attempts have been made to form a metal plate using a press, provide a large number of convex portions, and then glaze and fire it. Since ordinary embossing was performed using the die 22, there were the following problems. That is, the metal plate 3 with the front surface 3a facing the die 22 side and the back surface 3b facing the punch 21 side is connected to the concave surface 22 of the die 22.
a and the convex surface 21a of the punch 21, so that free deformation (elongation) is prevented, causing local distortion on the surface of the convex portion 23, and concave surface 22a.
The convex portion 23 is bitten by foreign matter such as metal powder attached to the
Frequent hangnail-like minute cracks 24 occur on the surface. If these local distortions and cracks 24 exist, when the glaze is applied and fired, the glaze will locally scatter, resulting in chipping defects and fine racks in the enamel layer, which will cause poor appearance and lack of durability, such as building buildings. A usable exterior panel could not be obtained.

However, in the method of manufacturing an enamel panel of the present invention, a punch is arranged on the back side of the metal plate, and a hole of a size that does not interfere with the convex part of the metal plate formed by the punch is placed on the front side of the metal plate. A die provided with an escape hole is arranged, the metal plate is compressed by the punch and die to form a convex portion on the metal plate, and the metal plate is glazed with glaze and then fired to adhere an enamel layer. This is a method for manufacturing an enamel panel characterized by the following.

Since the back side is caught in the convex surface of the punch and bundled inside, and the front side bulges into the relief hole without restraint, there is almost no local internal distortion or minute cracking on the surface of the convex part. By applying glaze on top and firing it, a healthy and defect-free enamel layer can be formed.

In Fig. 1, 1 is a punch having a hemispherical convex surface 1a at its upper end, and 2 is an annular spring-type knockout built into the punch 1, which also serves as a holding device for the metal plate 3 during forming. . 4 is a die, which has an escape hole 5 in the center. This escape hole 5 has an inner diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the punch 1 and a depth larger than the height H of the convex portion 6, and is large enough not to interfere with the metal plate portion that bulges out along the convex surface 1a of the punch 1. The above punch 1 and die 4 are attached to the turret disk part of an NC turret punch press (not shown), and the punch is placed on the table of the press with the front surface 3a facing the die 4 side and the back surface 3b. Metal plate 3 placed facing the 1 side
is clamped to the carriage of the press, and the die 4 is driven down by the striker of the press against the metal plate 3 positioned by the drive of the carriage, the metal plate 3 is punched as shown in FIG. 1 and bulges into the escape hole 5 of the die 4, forming a convex portion 6 at one location.
The molding process is finished. As the die 4 rises, the metal plate 3 is released from the punch 1 by the knockout 2, so the metal plate 3 is moved by the carriage at a predetermined pitch, and another convex portion 6 is formed in the same manner as described above. The metal plate 3 on which a large number of protrusions 6 have been formed in a desired arrangement is bent and welded on its four sides to form a pattern by arranging a large number of protrusions 6, as shown in FIG. A shallow box-shaped panel 7 is formed in which bent pieces 7b are successively arranged around the four circumferences of the formed main plate part 7a. A glaze is applied to the surface of the panel 7 and fired to coat it with an enamel layer, and if necessary, a backing material 8 made of a fireproof board is coated on the back side of the main plate portion 7a to form an enamel panel for construction. get.

Next, FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which a punch 1 having a partially spherical convex surface 11a and not having a knockout.
1 and a die 4 having a relief hole 5 are installed in an NC turret punch press upside down from the above embodiment,
The convex portions 12 are formed on the metal plate 3 with the front and back sides reversed, and the working procedure is the same as that of the previous embodiment, so a detailed explanation thereof will be omitted. In the figure, the same parts as in FIG. 1 are given the same reference numerals.

The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments; for example, the convex portion 6.12 may have various shapes other than those described above, such as a bead shape with an oval planar shape. In addition, the metal plate 3 after forming the convex portion 6.12 may be glazed and fired in its flat form, or curved with a large radius to form a panel for forming a curved wall, and then glazed and fired to form a shape other than the above-mentioned shallow box shape. It can also be a shaped enamel panel.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the metal plate bulges into the relief hole of the die during the process of forming the convex part, and there is almost no local distortion or cracking on the surface of the convex part, so that the enamel is healthy and free of defects. It is possible to obtain an enamel panel with a layer-covered convexity and excellent appearance and durability.
