Conventional casks have heat dissipation fins attached to the outer surface of the cask to dissipate heat emitted from exothermic radiant substances contained in the cask into the atmosphere. The heat dissipation performance of the heat dissipation fins varies depending on its exposure to the outside air. For example, when transporting a cask, the cask is transported horizontally, but in this case, it is better to attach annular fins to the outer surface of the cask along its longitudinal direction. Due to the shape of the fins, the heat dissipation performance is better than when vertical fins are installed on the outer surface along the circular direction. ), due to space constraints, the cask is placed vertically), the vertical fins have better heat dissipation performance than the annular fins due to the shape of the fins.

However, conventional casks are only provided with either annular fins or vertical fins, so when they have annular fins, they do not have sufficient heat dissipation effect when stored vertically, and Conventional casks have had the disadvantage that when they have vertical fins, they do not provide sufficient heat dissipation when transported horizontally.

The present invention was proposed with the aim of solving the above-mentioned drawbacks of conventional casks and providing a cask that can sufficiently exhibit heat dissipation effects during horizontal transportation and vertical storage. A cask body formed with a surface and having a sealed space for stored items inside, and a fitting hole in the cask body, and the fitting hole has a tapered surface on the inner surface that matches the tapered surface of the cask body. an annular finned member having a large number of annular fins along its longitudinal direction on the outside, made of a material having a smaller coefficient of linear expansion than the cask body, and detachable from the cask body through the fitting hole; It has a fitting hole in the cask body, has a taper on the inner surface of the fitting hole that matches the tapered surface of the cask body, has a large number of vertical fins along the circumferential direction on the outside, and is larger than the cask body. It consists of a vertical fin member that is made of a material with a small coefficient of linear expansion and that can be attached to and detached from the cask body through its fitting hole. When the cask body is transported, the annular fin member is attached to the cask body, and when it is stored, the annular fin member is attached to the cask body. This relates to a cask characterized in that a member with vertical fins is sometimes attached to the cask body.

Hereinafter, according to the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1 to 5,
The present invention will be explained in detail. In Fig. 1, 1 is a cask body, and the outer surface of the cask body 1 is tapered 1a, and inside thereof is a sealed space 1b in which a storage object 4 for exothermic radiation is stored. The peripheral wall forming the space 1b forms a sealed boundary that prevents leakage of exothermic radioactive substances to the outside, and also functions as a radiation shield. FIG. 2 shows an annular finned member 2 that can be detachably attached to the cask body 1 during transportation of the cask body 1, as shown in FIG. A large number of annular fins 2a are provided along the direction, and a tapered surface 2b matching the tapered surface 1a of the cask body 1 is formed on the inner surface of the insertion hole of the cask body 1. Furthermore,
The annular finned member 2 is made of a material having a smaller coefficient of linear expansion than the material of the cask body 1. FIG. 4 shows a member 3 with vertical fins that can be detachably attached to the cask body 1 when the cask body 1 is stored vertically as shown in FIG. A plurality of vertical fins 3a are provided at regular intervals along the direction, and the cask body 1 is provided on the inner surface of the insertion hole of the cask body 1.
A tapered surface 3b matching the tapered surface 1a is formed. Furthermore, the vertical finned member 3 is made of a material having a linear expansion coefficient smaller than that of the material of the cask body 1.

The cask of the present invention includes a cask body 1 having the above structure, an annular finned member 2, and a vertical finned member 3.
When the cask body 1 is transported, the annular finned member 2 is attached to the cask body 1, and when it is stored, the vertical finned member 3 is attached to the cask body 1. Also, the heat dissipation effect is sufficiently exhibited.

One embodiment of the cask of the present invention is constructed as described above, and when transporting the cask body 1,
Since the annular finned member 2 can be attached to the cask body 1 and transported as shown in FIG. 3, heat is sufficiently radiated into the atmosphere via the annular fins 2a. Furthermore, when storing the cask body 1, the member 3 with vertical fins can be attached to the cask body 1 as shown in FIG. 5 for storage, so that heat is sufficiently radiated through the vertical fins 3a. In this case, the adhesion between the cask body 1 and the annular finned member 2 or the vertical finned member 3 becomes a problem, and if there is even a slight gap between these members, it will cause thermal resistance and the temperature of the stored items will rise. However, these members fit together on the tapered surfaces, and the annular finned member 2 and the vertical finned member 3 have a smaller coefficient of linear expansion than the cask body 1, so due to the temperature rise of the cask body 1, These members are in close contact with each other, so that no gaps occur, and therefore the heat dissipation effect is sufficiently exerted.

Since the cask of the present invention has the above-described structure and function, the cask of the present invention eliminates the drawbacks of the conventional cask described above and can be used satisfactorily during both transportation and storage. The practical effect is that it is possible to realize a cask that exhibits a heat dissipation effect.
