In addition, the application example shown in Fig. 2 has the advantage of being compact and inexpensive, but when this cleaning device is attached to and detached from the corona discharger, the corotron wire 2 is pressed between the cleaning pads 5, so the corotron wire 2 is pressed between the cleaning pads 5. - There was a risk that wire 2 would be cut. Furthermore, similar to the one shown in FIG. 2, there was a problem in that there was leftover wiping at the corners of the corotron shield, that is, at points B and B'.

That is, cleaning pads 5 are attached to both ends of the support member 9, and when cleaning the corotron wire 2 with this cleaning device, the support member 9 is pressed in the D and E directions. The pad 5 had to be slid in the longitudinal direction of the corona discharger.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and its purpose is to press the cleaning elastic member, which is a cleaning pad, against the corotron wire by simply pressing the cleaning elastic member against the corotron shield. To provide a cleaning device for a corona discharger that can wipe the device evenly, reduce cleaning time without cutting the corotron wire during attachment and detachment, is inexpensive, has good storage properties, and can be cleaned even by an amateur. be.

Thus, if the corotron shield 1 or the corotron wire 2 of the corona discharger becomes contaminated with toner or the like, a cleaning pad 5 is inserted into the corotron shield 1.

Since the cleaning pad 5 is larger than the width of the corotron shield 1 before being inserted, it will press against the corotron shield 1 when inserted. However, during insertion, the cleaning pad 5 is designed so that it does not touch or only lightly contacts the corotron wire 2, so the corotron wire 2 is not cut by pushing it.

First, during cleaning, the cleaning pad 5 is inserted into the corotron shield 1 as shown in FIG. is cleaned. The cleaning pad 5 is suitably made of wool-based felt or urethane foam.

Next, by applying a force to the support plate 9 from above as shown by the arrow in FIG. inward and use both cleaning pads 5 to remove the Corotron wire 2.
By sandwiching the corotron wire 2 and moving it along the longitudinal direction in this state, cleaning of the central portion of the corotron wire 2 and the corotron shield 1, that is, point C, is completed.

6 is another embodiment of the present invention, in which a tooth-shaped pressing force setting guide member 11 is provided on the slope 13 of the leading member 10, and one part 9a of the support plate 9 is provided with a tooth-shaped pressing force setting guide member 11. It differs from the above embodiment in that a pressing force regulating member 12 is provided that protrudes from the other piece 9b, and when a force is applied to the support plate 9 in the direction of the arrow, the pressing force setting guide member 11 is set to the corotron.
The cleaning pad 5 engages with the upper edge of the side wall of the shield 1 to keep the pressure on the corotron wire 2 constant, and the corotron wire 2 can be cleaned along the corotron shield 1 with this constant pressure applied. When the pressing force is large, the pressing force regulating member 12 comes into contact with the other part 9b of the support plate 9 to regulate the pressing force, so that the corotron wire does not break.

Since the present invention has been described in detail above, by simply pressing the cleaning elastic member G against the corotron shield 1, the cleaning elastic member G can be pressed against the corotron wire 2, and the corotron wire 2 can be cut. The cleaning elastic member G can be attached to and detached from the corotron shield 1 without having to do so. In addition, there is no uneven wiping (unwiped residue), making it possible to shorten the cleaning time, and furthermore, the cost is low, and not only is it easy to store, but even an amateur can clean the corona discharger.
