[Detailed Description of the Invention] (a) Field of Industrial Application The present invention relates to a heater unit suitable for use in, for example, an electric kotatsu.

However, as heater units have come to be used year-round, improvements have been particularly desired in terms of how thin the heater unit can be. In other words, the heater unit conventionally used in furniture-style kotatsu is so thick that it protrudes from the underside of the kotatsu frame, causing foot traffic in the winter and getting in the way, and in the summer the heater unit is exposed, making it unsightly. It was hot.

For this reason, in recent years, there has been a call for thinner heater units, and various configurations have been attempted. One way to achieve this is to bring the distance between the protection card provided at the bottom of the heater unit and the heater fixed to the reflector closer together. However, the temperature of the protective guard rose due to the radiant heat from the heater, creating a risk of burns. As another means, in order to lower the temperature of the above-mentioned protective guard, for example, as disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 57-195052, a fan for releasing hot air is installed inside the heater unit to release the hot air inside the heater unit. ing. Although this configuration allows the heater unit to be made slightly thinner than a heater unit that does not use a general discharge fan, it was not possible to make the heater unit sufficiently thin.

Next, the operation will be explained. First, the heater unit H is suspended in the center of the frame F as shown in FIG. Then, a remote controller (not shown) is connected to the terminal portion 19 and the radiant heater 1
5, 15 and the motor 7. As the fan 9 rotates, the air sucked in by the cooling vanes 10, 10, . In addition, the wind taken in by the blower blades 11, 11...
As shown by the arrow B in the figure, the air passes through the outside of the cooling blades 11, 11..., and together with the above-mentioned intake air, the radiant heater 1
5 and 15, the hot air is converted into hot air, and is discharged from the outside of the heater unit H along the tapered surface 3 of the reflection plate 2.

従つて、第3図の様にコタツKの枠Fの中央部

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, the heater unit H suspended at the center of the frame F of the kotatsu K takes in air from the center of the unit and discharges hot air from the outer periphery.

In the above-mentioned usage condition, the radiant heater 15,
Most of the radiant heat 15 is radiated into the kotatsu K, but some of it is radiated in the circumferential direction and upper part of the heater unit H and is absorbed by the heat absorbing parts 20, 20, so that the reflected heat from the reflector plate 2 is reduced, and the temperature rise of the guard 5 is suppressed. That is, if the wall surface of the reflecting plate 2 facing the upper and lateral parts of the radiant heaters 15, 15 does not have a heat absorbing part and is subjected to a conventional reflection treatment, the radiant heater 1
Since the heat radiating to the upper part of the kotatsu is reflected to the guard 5 side by the reflection treatment part and radiated into the kotatsu, the guard 5 is directly connected to the radiant heater 15, 15.
It is heated to a high temperature by the radiant heat directed towards the guard side and the radiant heat reflected by the reflection plate 2 and radiated towards the guard side. However, when the heat absorbing part 20 is provided as in the present invention, the heat radiating upward from the radiant heaters 15, 15 is absorbed by the heat absorbing part without being reflected.
heating will be eliminated and the temperature of the guard will be well below the critical temperature. Therefore, since the temperature of the guard 5 does not become high, the guard and the radiant heater can be brought closer to each other.

Thus, although the present invention uses a metal plate separate from the reflector as the heat absorption part, the same effect can be achieved even if the lower surface of the reflector is directly coated with a heat-resistant coating. Further, the heater unit of the present invention can be used not only for kotatsu but also for various appliances. In use, the temperature of the reflector increases slightly due to heat absorption by the heat absorbing section, but since a flat upper plate is provided on the upper surface of the reflector, the temperature of the upper plate does not rise above the dangerous temperature. There isn't.

(e) Effects of the invention A flat reflecting plate with a downwardly sloping peripheral edge is provided on the lower surface of the flat upper plate, a guard is provided below the reflecting plate, and the space formed between the reflecting plate and the guard is A fan and one or more radiant heaters are disposed in the reflector, and the reflector has a heat-resistant coating with good heat absorption on its lower surface, at least in a portion located on the periphery from a portion located above the radiant heater. Most of the radiant heat from the radiant heater is radiated downward and used for heating, but some of the radiant heat in the upward or lateral direction is absorbed by the heat absorbing part. Since there is no radiant heat from the reflector, there is no rise in temperature of the guard, so the heater unit can be made thinner by bringing the guard and the radiant heater closer together. That is, by suppressing the temperature rise of the guard, the heater unit can be made thinner in addition to the hot air discharge effect by the fan, and the guard does not become hotter than necessary, thereby preventing burns. Further, the surface of the reflective plate is protected by the heat absorbing portion, thereby preventing the occurrence of rust.
