Conventionally, wood tubes, paper tubes, and the like having a relatively small diameter (for example, 5 cm or less in diameter) have been used as bobbins for thick yarns from the viewpoint of winding tension and the like. This bobbin, especially in the case of a paper tube, only has the function of simply winding the thread, and is hardly provided with a thread stopper for fixing the thread end. The reason for this is that, for various reasons, the automation of thread winding devices has lagged behind that of thread winding devices for fine threads, and many parts remain to be manually worked. One of them is the beginning of the volume,
This is automation of stopping the thread end at the end of winding.

Conventionally, bobbins for relatively thick threads of this type include those in which a forming tool 13 for a spindle bearing is fitted to the end of a paper tube 11, as shown in FIG. 4, and a bobbin as shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 2, the end of a paper tube 11 is bent inward to form a bent portion 12 that provides strength, and a spindle bearing forming tool 13 is fitted to support this bent portion 12. These bobbins are not provided with a thread gripping groove for fixing the thread end. In other words, when using these bobbins, the end of the thread at the beginning of winding is fixed by manually wrapping the end of the thread around the center of the bobbin several times, and in this state, the thread is set in a winder and the thread is tightened. After winding, the end of the yarn cut at the end of the winding when the tube is full is fixed by manually tying it to the surface of the yarn layer or the end of the bobbin. In this way, the yarn ends at the beginning and end of winding are both manually fixed by the operator, which is disadvantageous in that it is extremely time consuming and results in a large loss of working time. Furthermore, during twisting, etc., the end of the yarn at the beginning of winding is wound into the innermost layer of the yarn layer, so there is a drawback that it cannot be tied to the yarn wound on another bobbin.

In addition, in order to eliminate these drawbacks, the end of the thread at the beginning of winding is fixed with an adhesive piece, and a sharp thread gripping groove is deeply cut with a knife into the end of the paper tube. It is also known to fix the thread end in the groove, but in the former case, the wind and centrifugal force acting on the adhesive piece due to high-speed rotation of the bobbin cause the adhesive piece to peel off and fly away, reducing its yarn end catching effect. In addition to being lost, this adhesive piece may get into the thread path or other equipment, causing thread breakage, etc. Also, even if the adhesive piece does not peel off and fly away and the thread is secured,
This has the disadvantage that various problems can easily occur due to the transfer of the adhesive applied to the adhesive strip, and in the latter case, when the knife is pressed into the paper layer, the paper layer may shift or peel. This may reduce the strength of the end of the paper tube, shrinkage of the paper tube due to temperature and humidity, and dents during handling or transportation of the bobbin.
There are drawbacks such as the thread gripping groove being deformed by pressure such as impact and vibration.

The bobbin of the present invention that achieves the above object is a bobbin in which at least one end of a cylindrical bobbin body is bent inward to form a bent part, and a forming tool for a bearing is fitted into the bent part. It is characterized in that a collar is provided at the outer end of the forming tool, and a thread gripping groove is formed by the collar and the bent part.

In Figures 1 and 2, 1 is a cylindrical bobbin body made of a paper tube, the end of which is bent inward.
It is formed into a bent portion 2 having a substantially arcuate cross section and a hollow portion inside. Reference numeral 3 denotes a molding tool made of synthetic resin for a spindle bearing, which is fitted onto the end of the bobbin body 1 so as to support the bent portion 2, and between the collar portion 3a and the bent portion 2 is a collar. A thread gripping groove 4 is formed by a gap between the plane of the portion 3a and the arcuate surface of the bent portion 2. In addition, in the figure, Y indicates a thread, and L indicates a thread layer.

The outer diameter of the collar 3a of the forming tool 3 is preferably approximately equal to or slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the bobbin body 1. This is due to the relationship with the winder. However, the end portion of the bobbin body having a thread gripping function may be designed to be larger or smaller as long as it is possible. Furthermore, the shape of the thread gripping groove 4 is as follows:
It is preferable that the cross section has a surface shape that is wide at the upper part (thread insertion opening) and narrow at the lower part, so that the thread can easily slide deep into the groove between them. In the present invention, by bending the end of the bobbin body 1 inward to form the bent part 2, at least a part of the outer end surface is formed in an arc shape in cross section, so that the substantially vertical inner part of the collar part 3a is formed. A thread gripping groove 4 having a wide upper part (thread insertion opening) and a concave curved surface converging from the upper part to the lower part can be formed between the thread gripping groove 4 and the side surface. Therefore, since the upper part (thread insertion opening) of this thread gripping groove 4 is wide, it is easy to receive the end of even thick thread, and since it is guided by the curved surface, the thread can be easily transferred to the lower part. Moreover, since it narrows rapidly at the bottom, the end of the thread can be firmly grasped. Note that by providing a chamfer 3b on the upper part of the inner surface of the collar portion 3a, insertion of the yarn end can be made easier.

FIG. 3 shows another embodiment, which differs from the previous embodiment in that the end of the bobbin body 1 is formed into a bent part 2 having no hollow part inside, and the inner surface of the collar part 3a is formed on a surface that expands upward, and a thread gripping groove 4 is formed between the two, and it is possible to obtain the same thread gripping effect as in the previous embodiment.

As mentioned above, the present invention is a bobbin in which at least one end of a cylindrical bobbin body is bent inward to form a bent part, and a bearing forming tool is fitted into the bent part, Since the collar is provided at the outer end of the forming tool and the thread gripping groove is formed by the collar and the bent part, it is not necessary to cut the bobbin body with a knife or the like to form the thread gripping groove. do not have. Therefore, the bobbin body can be processed very easily without reducing its strength.
It is also very advantageous in terms of cost. Moreover, the yarn end inserted into the narrowed part at the bottom of the yarn gripping groove can be elastically gripped by the elasticity of the bent part.
It is possible to prevent troubles such as the yarn end jumping out of the yarn gripping groove when the bobbin rotates at high speed, entanglement of the yarn end that jumped out with the running yarn being wound, and the resulting yarn breakage.

In addition, the bobbin of this invention can be used with relatively thick thread,
For example, it can be effectively applied to thick yarns such as cotton yarn, polyester/cotton blend yarn, acrylic/cotton blend yarn, and rayon/cotton blend yarn.
