Conventionally, the main type of waist walls provided in sets has been the one shown in Japanese Utility Model Application No. 143929/1983. As shown in Figure 5 of the attached drawings, the waist wall is a waist wall panel 23 whose surface has been given a suitable aesthetic finish such as a carving pattern on the floor surface F, and male ribs 24, 24 are protruded from both the upper and lower ends of the wall panel 23. A female groove is formed on the upper surface of the baseboard 21 that is attached and fixed in contact with the lower end of the wall surface W, and on the lower surface of the parting edge 22 that is fixed by nailing or the like in contact with the wall surface W at a position above this. 25, 25 are formed, and by fitting the female and male tongues 24, 25, the panel 23 can be attached and fixed between the baseboard 21 and the parting edge 22.

Problems to be solved by the invention However, in the conventional waist wall as described above, the panel 23, the baseboard 21 and the parting edge 22 are
Since they are joined by a mutually compatible book-shaped structure, there is no compatibility between the members, and especially when this is used as a waist wall panel 23 and is matched to the wall, ceiling, or floor of a room. In response to the desire to arbitrarily adopt the above, there have been problems in that there is a lack of freedom in selection to meet this demand, and it is not always possible to obtain a satisfactory appearance. In addition, there are requests to increase or decrease the height of the waist wall to a certain extent depending on the indoor situation, but with conventional products,
Since the panel is tongue-shaped, it is not possible to cut the upper and lower ends of the panel, and the panel cannot meet the above requirements. Furthermore, after construction, the waist wall panel 23 may shrink to some extent due to temperature changes or drying, but in conventional products, this shrinkage appears as a gap especially between the parting edge 22. There were also drawbacks, such as a loss of appearance.

Means for Solving the Problems This invention, as shown in FIG. A parting edge 3 that is attached and fixed above the baseboard 2 in contact with the wall surface W, and a waist wall panel 1 that is installed in contact with the wall surface W by passing between the baseboard 2 and the parting edge 3 are used as structural members. Notch step portions each having an L-shaped cross section are formed opposite to each other on the wall surface side of the upper end of the baseboard 2 and the lower end of the parting edge 3, and the cutout step portions of the waist wall panel 1 are formed in these cutout step portions 4 and 5. The gist is a waist wall characterized by having both upper and lower end edges fitted and held.

The waist wall panel 1 is a plate-shaped body formed into a rectangular shape of a required size, and may have a specific engraved pattern or other pattern on the surface. The same material as No. 11 may also be used. The upper and lower ends of the panel 1 are simply cut, but the left and right edges are provided with grooves 12 at the joints with adjacent panels, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, if necessary. In some cases, a dowel-shaped joining step 13 is formed so as to form a dowel-like joint step.

Baseboard 2 has panel 1 on the upper end wall side, that is, on the back side.
A notch step 4 having an L-shaped cross section and a depth substantially matching the thickness of the nailer is formed, and a nailing groove 8 is provided along the length in the center of the outer surface in the height direction. It consists of a main body member 2a and a thin bar-shaped molding material 6 that is then tightly fitted into the nailing groove 8 and fixed with an adhesive or the like. Therefore, the baseboard 2 is on the floor surface F.
At the top, the panel 1 is fixed in contact with the wall surface W by nails 9 driven from the nailing groove 8 through the wall surface material 10 into the furrow 26 behind it, and the lower end edge of the panel 1 is tightly connected to the cutout step 4 at the upper end. It is considered to be inlaid. Reference numeral 14 denotes a small groove formed on the lower surface of the baseboard 2, which accommodates and hides the head of the nail 15 for fixing the flooring 11.

To construct the waist wall A shown in the above embodiment, first, the baseboard 2 is attached on the floor surface in contact with the wall surface W, and then the lower end of the waist wall panel 1 is fitted into the cutout step 4 of the baseboard 2. It is placed in contact with the wall surface W, and its upper end edge is fixed to the wall surface with nails 18. Then, the parting edge 3 is attached so that the cutout step 5 fits the upper edge of the panel 1, and if necessary, the inner corner material 19 and the outer corner material 20 are further attached to complete the construction. Note that an adhesive may be used in conjunction with the installation of the panel 1, baseboard 2, and parting edge 3 as appropriate.

Effects of the invention As described above, this invention is applicable to a waist wall that is essentially provided with a baseboard 2, a waist wall panel 1, and a partition edge 3. Notch steps 4 and 5 into which the end edges of the panel 1 are fitted are formed facing each other, and the end edges of the panel 1 are fitted into and held between the wall surface W and the cutout steps 4 and 5. . Therefore, any waist wall panel 1 can be used as long as its thickness is compatible with the depth of the stepped portions 4 and 5. Therefore, unlike in the past, there is no restriction that only those with specific actual processing applied to the upper and lower ends can be used, and if necessary, it is also possible to use the same material as the wall material 10 or the floor material 11, etc. can be,
You can construct a waist wall of any design by selecting and using any panels that match well with the walls, floor, etc. of the room. In addition, since there are no specific joining parts such as male or female grooves on the top and bottom, the vertical edges of the waist wall panel 1 can be cut and used freely, and the waist wall panel A can be used on site. The height can be adjusted as desired during construction. Of course, waist wall panel 1
, both vertical edges are baseboard 2 and parting edge 3
Since it is installed by being fitted into the stepped notches 4 and 5, it is not only possible to realize a sufficiently stable installation condition, but also to allow nailing into the edge portion hidden by the baseboard 2 and parting edge 3. By doing so, it is possible to further strengthen the mounting state while maintaining a good appearance. In addition, the construction can be carried out extremely easily by the above-mentioned means, and even if the panel 1 expands and contracts after construction, especially if it shrinks, there will be no gap between the end surface of the panel 1 and the baseboard 2 or the parting edge 3. There are no defects such as visible appearance,
It can maintain good appearance for a long period of time.
