(従来技術の紹介) 可動金型を固定金型へ向けて移動させて被加工
物の加工、例えば打抜き、絞り、かしめ、すえ込
みなどの作業を行う場合に、被加工物を手1個ず
つ金型の間へ挿入し、加工後に金型から取出す必
要がある場合が多い。このような場合には人体に
対する傷害を回避するために安全装置が必要であ
り、また法律で規制される場合もある。この目的
で従来多くの安全装置が提案されているが,作業
能率を損うことが多く、簡単な機構で作業能率を
害することなく十分な安全対策を構じたプレス機
械が望まれているが十分に満足なものは少ない。
特開昭58−9799号にはリンク機構と、関連する制
御スイツチとによつてプランジヤの作動を制御す
る方式の安全装置が開示されている。ここではペ
ダルを踏むと、プランジヤ始動前に可動金型と固
定金型との間に手やその他の障害物があれば、安
全装置のフイーラーがこれを検出してプランジヤ
を作動させるためのクラツチの作動が阻止され
る。ペダルを戻す前に手などが引込められてもこ
の阻止関係は保たれてプランジヤは下降しないま
まになり、ペダルを一旦完全に戻して、同じ操作
を始めからやり直さなければプランジヤが下りな
いから誤つたプレスは行われない。然し乍らこの
方式に於いては、安全装置は複雑なリンク機構と
共に使用され、これらにプランジヤの動力源に継
がれた制御スイツチが連動する構成とされてい
る。その為プレス機械への取付け加工が面倒であ
り、取付け後の保守にも慎重を要する。

ランジヤは、シリンダ部材と、該シリンダ部材の
下端に配設された前記可動金型のための取付け手
段と、該シリンダ部材に貫入され該シリンダ部材
内部で摺動し得るピストン部材と、前記シリンダ
部材に枢着され、その一部分が前記ピストン部材
の端部と係合しない第1の位置と、前記ピストン
部材の端部と係合し前記シリンダ部材内部での摺
動を停止させるための第2の位置との間で廻動し
得るようになつているピストンストツパと、該ピ
ストンストツパに取付けたストツパピンにして、
プレス機械に固定された被衝突部材と衝突しその
反力によつて前記ピストンストツパを廻動せしめ
得るストツパピンとによつて成り立つプレス機械
における安全装置が設けられる。該構成に於て、
もしプレス作業中に可動金型と固定金型との間に
手等が誤つて挾まれた場合は、ピストン部材はピ
ストンストツパによつて係止される事無くシリン
ダ部材内に貫入して手を保護し、一方障害物等が
挾まれない場合にはピストン部材はピストンスト
ツパを係止してシリンダ部材と一体化し、正常な
プレス作業が行われる。

下方部に好ましくは螺装された落下ストリツパ1
4によつて、シリンダ部材2からの脱落が防止さ
れる。シリンダ部材2の前記小径部7には、前記
スロツト15及び16を通して図示の如きピスト
ンストツパ5が挿入され、ピン22によつてシリ
ンダ部材内に枢支される。該ピストンストツパ5
はピン22を回動軸として下方端部23がピスト
ン部材3の上方端部24を係止する様に回動し得
る。ピストンストツパ5の、シリンダ部材2から
遠い方の端部28には該端部28を縦方向に貫く
幅広のスロツト11が形成され、該スロツト11
にはバネ10を介在させてピストンストツパ作動
部材6が挿入される。該部材6は上部にナツト2
5が螺着され、スロツト11からの脱落が防止さ
れると共に、下端30がプレス機に支持された部
材12に衝突し得る様位置づけられる。ピストン
ストツパ5の、前記スロツト16付近には突出部
18が設けられ、該突出部18とシリンダ部材2
の小径部7との間に画成された空間部分にはバネ
17が介在される。該バネ17の力は前記バネ1

23を矢印b方向に回動せしめる。これによつて
ピストンストツパ5の下端23はピストン部材3
の上端を係止する状態に持ち来たされ、ピストン
部材3の上方への摺動が阻止される。この後、可
動金型の引続いての下降によつて、前記可動金型
の下端面が固定金型上の釦部材100と接触し、
プランジヤの押圧力が前記ピストンストツパ5を
介してピストン部材に伝達され、通常のプレス作
業が完了する。
