Claims (1)
子を設けた多数の小片型透明基板を、対向電極を
設けた短冊状透明基板に、前記画素電極側との対
向電極側とを対向させスペーサを介在させて張り
合わせ、この短冊状透明基板と各小片型透明基板
との間に形成されるセルギヤツプに液晶を充填し
て各小片型透明基板毎に1画素の液晶セルを形成
したことを特徴とする液晶表示素子。 (2) 前記短冊状透明基板の対向電極側と反対側
の面に、前記小片型透明基板上のスイツチング素
子に電気的に接続される走査信号線接続用の背面
接続電極を設け、かつ、短冊状透明基板に短冊状
透明基板長手方向に伸びる映像信号線電極を設け
たことを特徴とする請求項1記載の液晶表示素子
。 (3) 前記スイツチング素子の走査信号用端子に
接続された小片型透明基板上の走査信号用接続電
極と、短冊状透明基板の一方の幅方向側面を回り
込んで前記背面接続電極に電気的に接続された回
り込み接続電極とを導電ペーストを介して電気的
に接続し、スイツチング素子の映像信号用端子に
接続された小片型透明基板上の映像信号用接続電
極と、短冊状透明基板の他方の幅方向側面に設け
られた短冊状透明基板長手方向に延びる映像信号
線電極とを導電ペーストを介して電気的に接続し
たことを特徴とする請求項1記載の液晶表示素子
。 (4) 請求項1記載の短冊状の液晶表示素子を表
示画面とほぼ同じ大きさの透明支持板に多数本並
列に配置して構成した液晶表示パネル。 (5) 前記透明支持板の表面に、液晶表示素子の
長手方向と直交する方向をなす走査信号線電極を
形成し、この走査信号線電極に前記液晶表示素子
の背面接続電極を真空圧で接触させたことを特徴
