<Background of the invention> Ring barkers are often used as a means to remove the outer skin of logs. This is a method in which a large number of blades are arranged around a rotating ring, and the blades tend to approach the center of the ring. The logs are passed through these blades, and the blades cut the outer surface of the log in a spiral shape. It's something you try to peel off. By the way, in the case of this type of work, in the case of so-called external materials, the skin fibers are short and it is easy to strip them, but in the case of so-called inward materials such as cedar and cypress, which are representative materials,
Since the bark is long-fibered, the work was extremely difficult as the peeled bark would get tangled with the knife. For this reason, various improvements have been made to the structure of cutlery so that even such long-fiber bark can be peeled.

However, with this method, the front of the knife,
In other words, the cutting edge provided on the surface where the cutter first starts contacting the raw wood that is the material to be processed (this is defined as the side surface in the explanation in the prior art) This may cause the tip to be excessively scraped off, resulting in a conical, pointed tip. As a result, there was a problem in that the usable length of the raw wood was further shortened and the product yield was lowered.
Of course, there are also tools that have a cone-shaped guide member on the tip of the cutter in order to eliminate the inconvenience caused by such a cutter suddenly acting on logs, or to provide smooth guidance. −50311). However, when using this method, especially when treating long-fiber bark, the action of peeling off the epidermis at the end of the log does not necessarily go smoothly and reliably, and this extends to the subsequent parts, resulting in uneven epidermis. In some cases, the surface may become peeled off. Therefore, such a cone-shaped guide member with a smooth surface cannot be applied as is.

<Technical problem to be solved> The present invention was developed in view of the problems of the prior art, and it is a cutter that does not have any gouges at the start of machining and can surely start removing the skin from that point. This is an attempt at development.

《Structure of the invention》 〈Means for achieving the purpose〉 That is, the log peeling machine of the present invention passes the log through a rotating ring, moves the two relative to each other, and uses a cutter attached to the rotating ring that rotates while rotating. In the device for removing the outer skin of logs, the cutter has a plurality of peeling blades on the circumferential surface of a rotationally driven main body, and an annular guide on the front end surface perpendicular to the drive axis of the main body. This guide ridge has a guide chamfer on the front surface, and a number of auxiliary skinning blades with a lower blade height than the skinning blades are formed on the circumferential surface, and furthermore, at the rear of the guide ridge, is characterized by having a plurality of skin cutting protrusions protruding from the outer peripheral surface of the guide protrusion,
This is an attempt to achieve the above objective.

<Example> The present invention will be specifically described below based on the illustrated example. Reference numeral 1 denotes a raw wood debarking machine according to the present invention, and a material feeding device 2 is disposed before and after the debarking machine.
It supplies or discharges. This log peeling machine 1 is constructed such that a rotating ring 4 is attached to a machine frame 3, and a cutter 5 is attached to this rotating ring 4 via an arm 6. For example, three blades 5 are provided, which are arranged in a substantially toe-like shape, and are urged by a cylinder 7 so as to converge at the center of the rotating ring 4 at all times. Incidentally, since these basic configurations are common to ring barkers, further detailed explanations will be omitted. Next, the blade 5, which is a characteristic structure of the present invention, will be explained.
In this device, a main body 10 made of cast iron or the like is attached to the tip of an arm 6.
Specifically, it is attached to the drive shaft 11 at this position and is rotationally driven by the rotation of the drive shaft 11. A large number of peeling blades 12 are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the main body 10, and one of these blades is formed in a spiral ridge shape, for example. Of course, the stripping blade 12 itself may be formed into a block shape, a so-called buff-like shape made of bundled steel wires, or any other appropriate shape. Such a cutter 5 extends further from the drive shaft 11 than the area where the skinning blade 12 is formed in the main body 10.
The front end surface side in the direction perpendicular to is configured to further protrude, and this is referred to as a guide protrusion 13. In short, the guide protrusion 13 only has to protrude sufficiently forward from the area where the skinning blade 12 is formed on the main body 10, but the guide edge may be formed smoothly into a tapered or arcuate shape to form a guide surface. The guide portion 13a is configured to allow smooth guidance. Furthermore, in the present invention, an auxiliary skinning blade 13 whose blade height is lower than that of the skinning blade 12 also at this guide ridge 13 is provided.
A large number of b are formed, and in this embodiment, they are formed so as to be continuous on the front extension line of the skinning blade 12. In this embodiment, the guide chamfer 13a is provided substantially at the front end of the auxiliary skinning blade 13b. Skin cutting protrusions 15 are formed at positions sufficiently far away from the guide ridge 13 toward the peeling blade 12, and these protrusions are provided at about four locations on the circumferential surface of the main body 10, for example. It is something. The attachment structure for the epidermal cutting protrusion 15 is such that an insertion hole 16 is bored in the main body 10 from the circumferential surface toward the center of the drive shaft, and a piece-shaped epidermal cutting protrusion 1 is inserted therein.
Insert the insertion pin part 17 in 5, and then screw the fixing bolt 18 into the main body 10 from the guide protrusion 13 so as to be perpendicular to the insertion pin.
It is designed to be fixed.

The log peeling machine 1 according to the present invention has the specific structure described above, and the method for peeling the logs using this machine is as follows. First, the rotary ring 4 is driven in accordance with a conventional method, and the cutter 5 is rotated. At this time, the cutter 5 is also rotationally driven. In this state, log A
When the blade is fed into the center of the rotary ring 4, the guide flange 13 of each cutter 5 first moves especially into the guide chamfer 13.
By the action of a, they smoothly contact the log, and without cutting the wood part of the log at all, the state of mutual convergence spreads to almost the outer diameter of the log A, and the log A is received in the center. It is something. In this case, the tip of the log A is hardly scraped off, and the skin a on the outer periphery is immediately scraped off by the peeling blade 12 and removed. Particularly at this time, the auxiliary skin stripping blade 13b with a low blade height also acts on the skin of the end face of the raw wood at the guiding ridge 13, and reliably peels off the skin at that portion. Then, as if receiving the peeled epidermis, the skin peeling blade 12 peels it off so that it is further scraped off. Incidentally, in the case of long-fiber epidermis, it is partially scraped or cut while being peeled off, but some remain attached to the log as fibers and do not come off. This state can be exaggerated in the fifth
The epidermis a of uncut raw wood A shown in the figure
The skin cutting protrusion 15 acts to cut on the side where the skin is fixed to the raw wood, and the peeling action is performed without the skin a getting entangled.

<<Effects of the invention>> The present invention has the configuration described above, and includes a guide chamfered portion 13 on the front end surface of the cutter 5.
Since the guide ridge 13 having the shape a is formed, there is no action of excessively scraping the raw wood A at the start of the peeling operation, and the peeling operation can be performed with a high yield. Further, the circumferential surface of the guide flange 13 is not smooth;
Since a large number of auxiliary skinning blades 13b with a low blade height are formed, skinning can be started completely from the outer skin at the end of the raw wood, and complete skinning can be performed without leaving any residue. Even if the epidermis is easily entangled with long fibers, it can be successively cut by the epidermal cutting protrusions 15, and the skin can be peeled off smoothly.
