Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a ceramic product surface which has a pattern of arbitrary lustre by a method wherein a base glaze is applied on a ceramic product surface, and a lustre glaze and a glaze containing a compound reacting to the lustre glaze and regulating metallic glossiness are applied for baking. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a tile 1 is partitioned into (a) -(c) in a longitudinal direction and A-C in a lateral direction to apply a semimat glaze. A glaze, e.g. flit, formed of feldspar, pottery stone, and various compositions and having different softening temperatures and melt viscosity is directly screen-printed on a base glaze 2 and baked at a high temperature. Metallic glossiness is produced on or disappeared from a base glaze according to the melt point of a glaze being lower or higher than temperature during lustre processing. Further, by partially changing the composition of a glaze and partially changing mixture of a compound by which metallic glossiness is disappeared, the pattern of a surface is arbitrary regulated. Further, by the change of the baking temperature and a baking time of a surface on which glazing is applied, a distribution state of fine particles is changed to form a peculiar pattern.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a method for decorating the surfaces of ceramic products such as various sanitary ware, tiles, and ceramic plates.

[Conventional technology: Traditionally, many decorative ceramics have been glazed with a glaze on the surface for decoration, stain resistance, waterproofing, and smoothing. Alternatively, there are those that have been subjected to raster processing in which a thin film containing metal oxide particles is provided on the glazed surface.

This raster processing is suitable for precious metals, titanium, copper, nickel, tin, cobalt, cadmium, uranium, iron, silicon,
It is formed by applying a filler solution or diluted ether solution of organic compounds such as phosphorus, arsenic, antimony chloride, and bismuth nitrate onto the glaze surface by a method such as spraying, and then heat-treating at 700 to 900°C. There is also a method of forming a compound of the metal that is easily vaporized, such as a halogen compound, by chemical vapor deposition.

The surface of the ceramic product obtained by this raster processing has a single color tone, which is beautiful in its own way from a decorative perspective, but this raster pattern can be developed further to obtain a design pattern with unprecedented changes in brilliance. There is a need to do so.

As one of the methods to meet this need, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 60-221376 discloses that a colored glaze mixed with fine powder of a substance that ashes at the overglaze firing temperature is applied to the overglazed raster and fired to create a glassy finish. It is disclosed that painting is performed.

This method basically leaves the raster and mixes the ash with it, and although it can eliminate the metallic luster, it is not possible to adjust the luster in multiple stages, so it cannot be used for ceramic products. It was not possible to sufficiently respond to the diversifying needs of surface patterns.

The problem to be solved by the present invention is to apply raster processing to the surface of a ceramic product, but by adjusting the metallic luster in multiple stages, it is possible to create a unique pattern that is completely different from the original raster. The present invention provides a method for forming on the surface of a ceramic product.

First, a semi-matte glaze is applied as the base glaze 2 to the base surface of the tile 1, and then each of the glazes shown in Table 1 is directly screen printed on the base glaze 2 in the sections a-C and A-C. It was fired in a hearth kiln at 1200°C for 37 minutes. Thereafter, a resin acid solution of titanium in a dilute oil solution was sprayed uniformly over the entire surface of the tile, and baked at 80°C for 60 minutes.
