第1図はアラーム時計を示すもので、外装ケース1内に
時刻表示部2が収納してある。時刻表示部2は液晶パネ

と対向電極とが形成してあり、間隙内に封止してある液
晶に電圧を印加することにより液晶分子の配列が変わっ

はリード線3が接続してあり、回路基板4に導通してい
る。液晶パネル2の上下両面には、偏光板5.6が配設
してあり、偏光板6の下面には、光反射板7が設けてあ
