(Prior Art) As a conventional rod-shaped light-emitting display of this type, one in which a large number of light bulbs are arranged in a row and housed in a transparent glass tube is known. Although such a rod-shaped light-emitting display body is very beautiful when used as a lighting display, it has the following problems.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) In other words, since the lifespan of the built-in light bulb in such a rod-shaped light-emitting display is as short as several thousand hours, it is necessary to replace the old rod-shaped light-emitting device with a new one quite frequently. There were problems in terms of maintenance, such as the need for replacement, which was troublesome and uneconomical.

Moreover, such rod-shaped light-emitting displays have poor visibility because they do not have a structure that blocks external light such as sunlight or reflects light from bulbs to increase brightness. There was a problem that it was not suitable for outdoor use.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the rod-shaped light emitting display of the present invention has a light-transmitting envelope in which semiconductor chips or solid lamps encapsulating semiconductor chips are arranged in multiple rows. A rod-shaped light-emitting display body encapsulated with an external light-emitting display, which blocks external light from one longitudinal end of the display and reflects light emitted from the semiconductor chip or solid-state lamp toward the other longitudinal end. The gist is that the body is housed in the translucent envelope.

(Operations and Effects) A large number of rod-shaped light-emitting display bodies having such a structure are hung with one longitudinal end facing upward and the other end facing downward, and are used as decorative lights in shady rears, etc.; A reflector that also serves as a shield for external light is built into the translucent envelope, so the upper side (one end side)
External light such as sunlight from the reflector is blocked, and light from the semiconductor chip or solid-state lamp is reflected downward (toward the other end) by the reflector. Therefore, the visibility when looking up from the bottom of this rod-shaped light-emitting display is extremely good, and it is possible to exhibit an excellent light-emitting decorative effect not only indoors but also when used outdoors.

In addition, as the light source, a semiconductor chip or a solid-state lamp containing a semiconductor chip, which has a much longer lifespan than a light bulb, is used and is housed in a translucent envelope, so it can be used as a light emitting display in the form of a rod with a built-in light bulb. Compared to this, the frequency of replacement is greatly reduced, which is a great advantage in terms of maintenance.

以下、実施例を挙げて本考案を詳述する。 Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to Examples.

As shown in FIG. 4, the solid-state lamp 2 housed in the translucent envelope 1 is made of a known light-emitting material such as gallium arsenide (GaAs), gallium phosphorous (CaP), gallium aluminum arsenide (GaAlAs), etc. A semiconductor chip 21 such as a diode is sealed in advance with a translucent thermosetting resin 22.

1,231' are connected to both conductive wires 3, 3' by means of soldering or the like. A connecting outlet 5 is provided at one longitudinal end (the upper end in the figure) of both conductive wires 3, 3', so that it can be easily connected to a power source when the rod-shaped light emitting display is suspended. ing.

Further, each of the solid lamps 2 is covered with a wrapper-shaped reflector 4 through which conductive wires 3, 3' pass. As shown in FIG. 2, this wrapper-shaped reflector 4 is used for external light L such as sunlight that is irradiated from one longitudinal end side (upper side in the figure) of the rod-shaped light emitting display.
The light emitted from the solid-state lamp 2 is blocked by the outer surface of the reflector, and the light emitted from the solid-state lamp 2 is reflected toward the other end in the longitudinal direction (lower side in the figure) by the inner surface of the reflector, and at least the inner surface of the reflector is made of aluminum, for example. It is made of a light-reflective material such as foil, silver foil, aluminum vapor-deposited film, or silver vapor-deposited film. Each reflector 4 has its small-diameter upper opening edge 41 bent at the bent tip 231, 231' (conductive wire 3,
3' (the part protruding outward from 3') to prevent it from falling.

As shown in FIG. 5, the rod-shaped light emitting display A having the above structure is installed at one longitudinal end (the end where the connection outlet 5 is provided) outdoors or indoors.
Many are hung with one end on top and the other end on the bottom,
It is energized and used as a decorative light such as a shady rear, but in that case, as explained in FIG. The external light L is blocked, and the light from the solid-state lamp 2 is reflected downward (to the other end). Almost no light enters the eye, and only the high-intensity light from the solid-state lamp 2 enters the eye, resulting in extremely good visibility. Therefore, the rod-shaped light-emitting display A can exhibit an excellent light-emitting decorative effect when used indoors as well as outdoors.

Moreover, as a light source, a solid-state lamp 2 encapsulating a semiconductor chip, which has a much longer lifespan than a light bulb, is built into the translucent envelope 1, making it easier to use than a conventional rod-shaped light-emitting display with a built-in light bulb. This greatly reduces the frequency and provides a significant advantage in terms of maintenance.

In the above embodiment, the translucent envelope 1 is configured as a hollow cylinder, but the interior thereof is filled with a translucent resin or the like to increase the strength and prevent misalignment of each reflector 4. Alternatively, instead of the solid lamp 2, a semiconductor chip as described above may be used as is. Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the reflector 4 is configured in a rattle shape, but
There is no particular restriction on the shape of the reflector 4, and in short, it functions to block external light L from one end (upper side) in the longitudinal direction and reflect light from the solid-state lamp 2 to the other end (lower side). Any shape that can be used is fine.

FIG. 3 shows a reflector 4' having such a different shape.
This shows an example of a rod-shaped light emitting display using
This reflector 4' is constructed as a spiral reflector with a pitch approximately equal to the mutual spacing of the solid-state lamps 2. It goes without saying that even when such a spiral reflector 4' is incorporated, the same effects as in the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 can be obtained.
