In automatic control equipment or robots, it is necessary to obtain angle information of an object and control the angle. Particularly in control systems such as robots that have many moving parts, the reliability of the detection element that obtains angle information as well as its size become important. Also, in the software of the microcomputer, etc., which is the head of the control equipment,
It is desirable for the load on the hardware to be as low as possible in terms of processing speed and software development.

In Japanese Patent Application No. 57-139035, the present inventor proposed an angle detection element having a laminated structure of a plurality of sheets printed with electrodes in a binary code array. This is an angle detection element that uses a slider to slide an electrode surface that forms the binary code array that appears by cutting or processing the laminate in the stacking direction, and the angle information is directly translated into the binary code. It has characteristics that can be obtained over time. Therefore, since the angle detection element can be directly connected to a control device such as a microcomputer, even in a device that requires multiple detection functions, it is sufficient to have as many elements as there are detection parts.
A conversion circuit as an interface is completely unnecessary.

In order to read the angle correctly in such an angle detection element, the structure of the slider in contact or the structure of the sliding surface of the angle detection element is important. When the detection element is attached to the detection object, alignment with the slider is also important.

However, as in the angle detection element already proposed by the present inventor shown in FIG. Since the slider is held and pressed, there is a risk that the slider may derail from both ends of the angle detection element.

For this reason, contact with the electrodes (for example, 2 0 , 2 7 or reading mark bits) located on both outer sides of the sliding surface in the stacking direction is not made, which may result in erroneous detection or an undetectable state.

That is, the present invention is a block having at least one circular or arcuate surface and made of laminated insulators and conductors, wherein one circular or arcuate surface of the block has one or more circular or arcuate surfaces. The above conductor portions are exposed, and conductor terminals are formed on a different surface of the block to connect to each of the conductor portions, or a portion of each conductor portion is exposed. In an angle detection element characterized by a structure, a plurality of conductors are arranged in a lamination direction so that a unique code appears in each position in the circumferential direction of a circular or arcuate surface where the conductors are exposed. arranged in the circumferential direction, at least on one side near both ends of the circular or arcuate surface in the stacking direction, a portion where the conductor is not exposed is convex compared to other portions of the circle or arcuate surface; This is an angle detection element characterized in that the angle detection element has a

The device of the present invention is made by printing conductive paste in a predetermined shape on an insulating raw sheet, and then laminating these sheets.
It can be produced by firing. The overall shape of the element is processed into a predetermined shape after lamination or firing. This element can also be made from a copper-clad laminate.

In the present invention, the laminated body of the angle sensing element itself is processed before the binder removal process, but it is clear that the same effect can be obtained even if the fired body is processed. It is clear that the same effect can be obtained by bonding plates to both end faces of the laminate to prevent the slider from derailing, without directly touching the surfaces.
