Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having a viscosity suitable for gravure printing while keeping high solid content and capable of giving a decorative paper having excellent abrasion resistance, brightness and designability by compounding a benzoguanamine resin, a cellulosic resin, a metallic pigment and a solvent. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains (A) 1-20wt.% (preferably 3-6wt.%) of a benzoguanamine resin (preferably a resin having a molecular weight of 264-368, e.g. the butanol-modified benzoguanamine of formula), (B) 0-10wt.% (preferably 2-5wt.%) of a cellulosic resin (e.g. cellulose acetate or cellulose acetate butyrate), (C) 5-35wt.% of a metallic pigment and (D) preferably 70-80wt.% of a solvent. A decorative paper is produced by printing a titanium paper with the composition.

Detailed Description of the Invention [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a decorative paper used for processing melamine resin, polyester resin, DAP resin, etc., and a metallic ink composition used therefor. The present invention relates to a metallic ink composition using a pigment of the same size and a highly designed decorative paper using the same.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, decorative paper used for processing with melamine resin, polyester resin, DAP resin, etc. is usually printed with a pattern or the like by a gravure printing method. When the ink used for such gravure printing is diluted with a solvent to a viscosity suitable for printing, cellulose-based binders are used as a binder to maintain suitability for impregnating the pattern area by reducing solidity as much as possible. Resins are commonly used.

On the other hand, the above-mentioned ink further contains a pigment having a particle size of about 0.5 to 1 μm, and such ink is used to print on base paper for decorative paper called titanium paper. At this time, because the particle size of the pigment is relatively small, it gets into the pulp fibers of the titanium paper, and as a result, when processing decorative paper with melamine resin, polyester resin, DAP resin, etc., it is difficult to immerse it in the impregnation. Even when the excess resin content on the decorative paper is removed using a scraping roll or the like, the pigment does not flow out, and the abrasion resistance of the ink in the pattern area has been ensured.

[Problem to be solved by the invention] However, in the case of pigments with relatively large particle sizes, such as metallic pigments for metallic inks and burl pigments, which are used for decorative boards in recent years, they tend to get into the bulb i+ miscellaneous during printing. If the solid content ratio of the resin to the pigment is not sufficient, the pigment may be removed from the printed surface by friction from the outside, especially by removal with a scraping roll as mentioned above. Problems have arisen in that the impregnation liquid is scraped off and spilled out, contaminating the impregnating liquid.

In particular, in ink using cellulose resin as a binder as described above, the solid content is less than 1011%, which means that the resin content to protect the pigment is small, so the above problems occur significantly, and to prevent this, the amount of resin is increased. In this case, the viscosity of the ink composition increases as the solid content increases, making printing difficult.

Therefore, the purpose of the present invention is to compensate for the above-mentioned drawbacks and to provide a metallic ink composition that has good processing suitability even when a large amount of metallic pigment with a relatively large particle size is blended, and a decorative paper that uses the same and has a high design quality. It is about providing.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In view of the above-mentioned problems, the inventors of the present invention have conducted extensive research, and have found that the present invention uses benzoguanamine resin, which is a resin with good processing suitability and a high solid content and low viscosity. The company discovered that even if a large amount of pigment with a relatively large particle size was added, it could be processed stably without reducing wear resistance.
