Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head which can minimize the magnetic path length with respect to the area of a winding window and has high reproduction efficiency by forming the winding window of a magnetic core to an approximately circular shape. CONSTITUTION:The winding window 4 of the magnetic core 1 having a recording and reproducing gap 2 is formed in an approximately circular shape and a coil 3 is wound in the winding window 4. Thereby the magnetic path length of the magnetic core 1 along the inside wall of the winding window 4 with respect to the area of the winding window 4 is minimized. The reproduced output per inductance, i.e. the reproduction efficiency of the magnetic head is enhanced.

。一方、高い再生出力電圧を得るためにはコイルの巻回
数をできる限り多くする必要がある。このコイルの巻回
数の上限は、磁気コアの巻線窓の面積で決定される。す
なわち、高性能な磁気ヘッドにするためには、短い磁路
長と広い巻線窓とを有する磁気コアが必要となる。この
観点からみて従来の磁気ヘッドは、巻線窓の面積に比較
して磁路長が長いため、再生出力電圧が小さく再生効率
が低くいという欠点がある。
