Detailed Description of the Invention (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a base fabric for an airbag that is inflated in the event of a vehicle collision, etc., and is used to absorb and protect the occupants in the -1L seat. Regarding. (Prior art) Passive occupant protection equipment is used as a safety device to protect the occupants of automobiles, etc. from the risk of secondary collision (collision of the occupant's body with the vehicle body due to inertia). ! (airbag system) is being put into practical use. Usually, air pants are made of a fabric with a single structure, and are also heat resistant, flame retardant, air 51
! It is made by sewing a base fabric coated with an elastomer such as chloroprene on the entire surface of the bag to improve breakability.

The currently used base fabrics for airbags are made of thick fibers, such as 840 denier nylon-66, with a weft and weft density of 25 fibers/inch each, because they are intended to exhibit the necessary functions as a base fabric with a single structure. The resulting airbag is stiff, heavy, hard, and has a large capacity. Furthermore, the elastomer applied to the airbag needs to be thicker than a certain level in order to improve its physical properties. For this reason, conventional airbag base fabrics were heavy, hard, and lacked foldability, which led to the problem of increased storage volume. By the way, until just before the airbag is activated, it is not possible to prevent airbags from being exposed to the vehicle's interior, such as the console box in front of the seated passenger or the back of the seatbag.
It is stored in a narrow space such as the i fixed part or the center of the steering wheel in front of the driver's seat, and it is said that the smaller the storage volume, the better. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The present invention solves the above conventional problems and provides an airbag that is lightweight, flexible, has good foldability, and has a small storage volume without impairing the mechanical properties of the airbag. It is something that will be realized.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention is a double fabric formed by forming double layers with different breathability, and the breathability, tensile strength, and tear strength of the fabric as a whole are limited respectively. By doing so, you will be attacked. That is, the present invention improves overall air permeability (JISL-109
6A method) is 5 cc/cm'/see or less, tensile strength (according to JIS L-1096A method) is 0.0 kg/inch or more, and tear strength (JIS
This is a base fabric for an airbag, characterized in that it is a fabric with a double structure on the front and back, and has a weight of 10 kg or more (according to the L-1096A-1 method). In the present invention, the functions required for airbag base fabrics, such as heat resistance, flame retardance, low air permeability, and strength, are achieved by making the fabric double-layered. It is lightweight, soft, and has a compact storage capacity. That is, due to the low air permeability side of the fabric,
The highly breathable side blocks hot air when the bag is expanded, and has a reinforcing function to prevent bursting and tearing. If the air permeability exceeds 5 cc/cm2/see, the air barrier will not be sufficiently ensured, and there is a fear that the hot air during expansion will hit the occupants directly, and it will not perform its normal role as a safety device for protecting the occupants. .. Therefore, the air permeability is 5cc/cm2/
5 as long as the mechanical properties are not impaired.
Just set it below cc/cm2/see. Furthermore, the tensile strength of the fabric as a whole is 100 kg/inch or more, and the tear strength is 10 k. It is necessary that it is above.
If the tensile strength and tear strength are each less than the above values, an airbag that satisfies the mechanical properties required for an airbag cannot be obtained. The base fabric used in the present invention is I
! For example, nylon 6, 66, 4
Polyester fibers such as polyalkylene terephthalate; Fully aromatic polyester fibers: Vinylon fibers; Rayon Fibers; polyolefin fibers such as ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene; polyoxymethylene fibers; sulfon woven fibers such as polyparaphenylene sulfide and polysulfon; polyether ether ketone fibers; carbon fibers, etc., and may be used alone or in combination. .. Furthermore, inorganic fibers such as glass fibers, ceramic fibers, and metal fibers may be used alone or in combination. The structure of the base fabric may be any structure as long as it satisfies the characteristics required for an airbag, such as plain weave, lattice rope, satin weave, etc., but is not limited to these. Alternatively, a 1111L multi-axial fabric may be used. Common looms such as fly and levia looms can be used, but rapier looms are preferred. Further, as the double weave method, warp double weave, warp double weave, and weft double weave methods can be adopted.

As a method to reduce the air permeability to 5 cc/cm2/see or less, in addition to simply adjusting the weaving method such as yarn usage and density, it is also possible to adjust the air permeability to a specified value by heat and pressure treatment after the cloth is peeled off. It is. In order to effectively achieve the purpose of the present invention, it is preferable to configure the airbag with the base fabric alone. It may be laminated completely or partially. The elastomer to be laminated may be any material that can provide functions such as low air permeability, heat resistance, and flame retardancy for the air bang, such as halogen-containing elastomers such as chloroprene rubber, chlorosulfonated olefin rubber, and fluorine rubber. Rubber: Vinyl chloride, chlorinated olefins, halogen-containing resins such as fluororesins, etc. are preferred. Other phosphorus type,
Other elastomers containing organic and inorganic flame retardants such as halogen and metal hydroxides may be used, such as urethane resins and acrylic resins, and two or more different elastomers may be mixed. It does not matter whether they are water (solution, fly) type or solvent type. Lamination of elastomer can be applied on one or both sides using methods such as coating, lamination, screen printing, rotary screen printing, roller printing, and gravure printing. degree is 170 kg/inch, tear strength is 55 kg
It had excellent air-blocking properties, sufficient strength, and had a small capacity when sewn into a bag. (Effects of the Invention) By providing an extremely flexible and lightweight base fabric for airbags, the present invention enables miniaturization and weight reduction of airbags, and promotes the implementation of occupant protection systems using airbags. ..
