Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction due to the contamination of the light emitting surface and light receiving surface by providing a decontaminating means for supplying clean air to the light emitting surface of the light emitter and the light receiving surface of the light receiver in a contamination detecting sensor provided in the air passage on the air suction port side. CONSTITUTION:The case 30 of the contamination detecting sensor 3 is connected to a discharge port 12 through an air inlet pipe 33, and a part of the air passed through a filter unit 23 and cleaned is introduced into the case 30 through the pipe 33. The cleaned air is passed through the fronts of the light emitting surface of the light emitter 31 and the light receiving surface of the light receiver 32 by the guide plate 34 and air outlet 35 set in the case 30. Namely, the light emitter 31 and light receiver 32 are isolated from the foul atmosphere by the clean air, and consequently the contaminant in the air is not deposited on the light emitting surface of the light emitter 31 and light receiving surface of the light receiver 32.

Therefore, the present invention provides an air purifier that is equipped with a dirt detection sensor consisting of a light emitter and a light receiver, and that operates according to the output of the dirt detection sensor, which is disposed in the air flow path on the air intake port side. The dirt detection sensor is characterized in that it includes dirt prevention means for flowing purified air near the light emitting surface of the light emitter and the light receiving surface of the light receiver. "Function" According to the present invention, the purified air flowing near the light emitting surface and the light receiving surface prevents dirt in the air from adhering to the light emitting surface and the light receiving surface. [Embodiment] The present invention will be described in detail below based on the illustrated embodiment. As shown in FIG. This type exposes the suction port 11 and the discharge port 12 into the vehicle interior through a looper 13.
As shown in the figure and FIG. 2, a flat and thin housing 1
0 has a suction port 11 on the top surface of one side and a discharge port 1 on the top surface of the other side.
2 is formed. A motor 20 and a fan 22 are installed below the suction port 11 in the housing 10.
A filter unit 23 is detachably installed below the filter unit 2. In the figure, 24 is a wind tunnel for the fan 22. The reason why the filter unit 23 is set in an inclined state is to reduce the thickness of the housing 10 and reduce the space it occupies in the trunk room. In the housing 10, the suction port 11 side and the discharge port 12 side are partitioned by a partition plate 25 which also serves as a base and the filter unit 23, and the filter unit 23 is attached to the fan. A dirt detection sensor 3 is disposed in a part of the air flow path from the filter unit 22 to the filter unit 23. The dirt detection sensor 3 includes a cylindrical case 30, a light emitter 31 and a light receiver 32 arranged in the upper part of the case 30.
When the light emitted from the light emitter 31 is scattered by smoke particles or dust in the air, this scattered light is detected by the light receiver 32 to detect dirt in the air. When the engine is running and constantly rotates at a low speed, and the dirt detection sensor 3 detects that the dirt in the air has reached a required level or higher, the motor 20 shifts to high speed rotation and performs the air purification function. It is now possible to automatically increase the amount of energy used. And the case 30 of the dirt detection sensor 3 here
is connected to the discharge port 12 by an air introduction pipe 33, and part of the purified air that has passed through the filter unit 23 flows into the case 30 through the air introduction pipe 33, and a guide attached to the case 30 is connected to the discharge port 12. This purified air is supplied to the light emitter 31 by the plate 34 and the exhaust port 35.
The light passes through the light emitting surface of the light emitting surface and the light receiving surface of the light receiver 32. In other words, the purified air shields the emitter 31 and the light receiver 32 from the atmosphere of dirty air, and for this reason, the light emitting surface of the light emitter 31 and the light receiving surface of the light receiver 32 are covered with dirt in the air. Therefore, the dirt detection sensor 3 will not malfunction due to the dirt attached. A separate motor fan may be used to guide the purified air to the dirt detection sensor 3. In addition, rather than the purified air immediately after passing through the filter unit 23, the air inside the housing 10 and outside the wind tunnel 24 or the almost purified air inside the trunk room 50 is guided by suction using a pressure difference. You can do it like this.

As described above, in the present invention, the purified air flowing near the light emitting surface and the light receiving surface prevents dirt in the air from adhering to the light emitting surface and the light receiving surface. This prevents malfunctions caused by dirt adhering to the light-receiving surface, and can extend the life of the light-receiving surface.
