Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a cold rolling oil for steel which has good lubricating and annealing properties by using an active hydrogen-containing amine compound as the initiator and esterifying an adduct thereof with alkylene oxide with a fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:A compound of the formula (where R<1> is an alkylene; R<2> is an alkyl or alkenyl of 7C or above; 0.3<=l<=40; 1<=n<=3; and X is a residue of an amine compound having 1-3 active hydrogen atoms from which active hydrogen groups have been removed) is prepared. The compound is used alone or in combination with other base oil (e.g. mineral oil) and other additives such as an emulsifier, an antioxidant, etc., if required, to prepare a cold rolling oil for steel. The compound of the formula is obtained by adding an alkylene oxide (e.g. propylene oxide) to an amine compound having 1-3 active hydrogen groups (e.g. monoethanolamine) and esterifying the addition product with a fatty acid (e.g. stearic acid).

%以上、望ましくは10重量%以上の含有量とすること
によって効果が明確に発現する。また、一般に基油とし
て用いられている鉱油や動植物油などの添加剤として用
いられている酸化防止剤、乳化剤、腐食防止剤と、本発
明の油を組み合わせて使用することもできる。
