Abstract

PURPOSE:To confirm the fitting state of connectors by an external electric signal by giving electric functions for recognizing the fitting state to the connectors. CONSTITUTION:A connector male side 1 has a fitting detecting plugs 4, 6 electrically connected to each other in the connector internal part. A connector female side 2 has fitting detecting sockets 5, 7 corresponding to the fitting detecting plugs 4, 6, and the fitting detecting sockets 5, 7 are electrically connected to signal lines 8, 9 outside of the sockets, respectively. The connector female side 2 is fitted to the connector male side 1 under this state, whereby the signal lines 8, 9 outside of the sockets are electrically connected to each other through the connector male side. When a fitting detecting signal is inputted to the signal line 8, then, the same signal can be read from the signal line 9.

The conventional Kofukuta described above does not have an electrical function to recognize the mating state, and the only way to recognize the mating state is visually or by checking the connection state of the signal line connected with a connector. There are disadvantages in that manual labor is required to confirm the mating, time and human labor are required to inspect and maintain the equipment used, and defects in the mating condition are recognized until a "break" occurs in the connected signal line. The drawback is that it cannot be done.

The connector of the present invention has a structure in which when the connector is in a mated state, an electrical signal output from either the male side or the female side is reflected back within the connector and can be recognized by the male or female side connector. are doing.

As shown in FIG. 1, the male side 1 of the connector has plugs 4 and 6 for detecting fit that are electrically connected inside the connector. The female side 2 of the connector has mating detection sockets 5 and 7 that are coupled to mating detection plugs 4 and 6, and the mating detection sockets 5 and 7 are connected to signal lines 8 and 7 outside the socket, respectively. 9

In this state, as shown in Figure 2, connect the female III connector.
By fitting l2 and male side 1 of the connector,
The signal line 8 and signal line 9 outside the socket are electrically connected via the male side of the connector.

At this time, when a mating detection signal is input to the signal line 8, the same signal can be read on the signal line 9, so that the male side 1 of the connector and the female side 2 of the connector are mated. ′
can be recognized as such. Here, if the mating between the male side 1 of the connector and the female side 2 of the connector is not too shallow, and the mating detection plug 4 and the mating detection socket 5 come off to the point where they do not come into contact, the signal wire 8 and the signal wire 9 There is no electrical connection between the connector male @1 and connector female side 2 because the mating detection signal sent to the b1 signal line 8 cannot be read by the signal line 9.

As explained above, the present invention provides a connector with an electrical function for recognizing the mating state, and the mating state of the connector can be confirmed by an electric signal from the outside. In addition to eliminating the need to check the mating status, it is also possible to prevent the mating status of a connector that could not be discovered if one signal line was broken, and
Even if a failure occurs, it is possible to electrically confirm whether the cause is due to the connector fitting, which is effective in early detection and early response to troubles.
