Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit a case to be opened accurately along the cut-off plane without impairing its contents by a method wherein the corner of the bent part of a corrugated cardboard case is cut off by moving a blade along the ridge of the corner. CONSTITUTION:The edge 11 of a blade 10 is penetrated through the corner part 3 of the glue application area 2 of a corrugated cardboard case 1, so that the corner part 3 can be cut off along a cutting plane A. The blade 10 can be maintained at a predetermined angle to the corner part 3 by using a suitable jig or guide to permit the corner part to be cut off desirably. The angle is not restricted, although it is preferably from about 4 to 5 deg..

[Example] FIG. 1 of the drawings schematically shows a cardboard box to which the cardboard box cutting method of the present invention is applied. This type of cardboard box is used as a general cardboard box, and the double-sided cardboard box is made by cutting sheets of double-sided cardboard, making creases, and joining them with flat joining lines, which are the seams. Packing is completed by putting the contents in the bag, closing the inner and outer fins, and sealing it with duct tape or fasteners. In particular, the cutting method of the present invention is applied to the corners of the joining flat line of the corrugated part of such a corrugated box, and the corners of folding board parts such as the outer fin or inner fin.

For example, first, in the joining flat line, that is, the seam part 2 of the corrugated cardboard box 1 as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 1A,
An appropriate blade 10 such as a cutter is positioned along the cutting surface A at an angle of about 45° to the corner 3 of the bent seam part 2 of the cardboard box 1, and the cutting edge 11 of the knife 10 is placed at the seam part 2. The cutting edge 11 penetrates the corner 3 of the sloping part 2 so that the corner 3 of the sizing part 2 can be cut off along the cutting surface A. To install the cutter 10, use an appropriate jig or guide so that the cutter 10 is placed at the corner 3 of the sloping part 2 of the cardboard box l.
It is preferable that the knife 10 be maintained at a predetermined angle with respect to the cutter 10, and by sliding a jig or guide that supports the cutter 10 at a predetermined angle along the corner 3 of the corrugated part 2 of the cardboard box 1. The angle of the cutter 10 relative to the corner 3 of the cardboard box 1 is preferably about 45°, but it is limited to this angle so that the corner 3 can be cut suitably as shown in FIG. 1A. It can be installed in the range of about 30' to 60 degrees. Furthermore, it will be understood that the cutting can be performed when the cutting edge 11 of the cutting tool 10 reaches halfway to the vicinity of the inner folding arm 7 without penetrating the corner as shown in the figure.

Next, when cutting the outer fin of the cardboard box 1, that is, the corner 5 of the folding board 4, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 2A, The cutting is done in the same manner as No. 3.

That is, on the folding plate 4 which is the outer fin of the cardboard box 1, the cutter 10 is positioned along the cutting plane B at a predetermined angle, for example, about 45°, with respect to the corner 5 of the folding plate 4 of the cardboard box 1. The cutting edge 11 of the cutting tool 10 is pierced through the corner 5 of the folding plate 4 so that the cutting edge 11 of the cutting tool 10 can cut off the corner 5 of the folding plate 4 along the cutting surface B. A knife 10 maintained at an angle of
is slid along the corner 5 of the folding board 4 of the cardboard box 1, thereby cutting the corner 5 as shown in FIG. 2A.

In the same way, if the 5° corner of the folding plate 4' on the opposite side of the cardboard box 1 is also cut, and the three sides of the top surface of the cardboard box 1 are cut, the cardboard box 1 will be cut as shown in FIG. By opening the top surface using a vacuum, for example, and cutting the remaining side along the fold line 8 with a knife 10 in the usual manner, the cardboard box 1 can be opened without damaging the contents.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the method for cutting a cardboard box of the present invention, a single knife-shaped blade installed at a predetermined angle with respect to the edge of the cardboard box or the corner of the folded board is used to cut the cardboard box. It is possible to cut the folded part of the box and the three corners of the folding board such as the outer fin or inner fin, and to open one side of the cardboard box by cutting the corner of the remaining side as usual. Therefore, cutting can be performed with reliable and smooth operation without damaging the contents inside the cardboard box, and the corners of the cardboard box can be continuously shortened manually or automatically as necessary. It is possible to produce effects such as being able to cut reliably on time.
