Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the time data inputting method by displaying a timepiece on a screen with a touch panel and pushing the positions of the long hand and short hand of the time data to be inputted. CONSTITUTION:The display part of a portable type input/output device is constituted of the screen 1 with the touch panel and the timepiece 2 is displayed on the screen 1. The hour is inputted when the position of the short hand of the timepiece 2 is pushed and the minute is inputted when the position of the long hand is pushed in the case of inputting of the time data. The state before the time data input is shown in Fig. (a) and the example of the screen 3 inputted with the time data is shown in Fig. (b).

The time on this data input completed screen 3 indicates 9:00 OO minutes.

As explained above, the present invention can simplify the method of inputting time data by displaying a picture of a clock on a touch panel screen of a portable input device, etc., and inputting the time by positioning the hands on the clock. Another advantage is that input can be made using the image of a clock.
