Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the electromagnetic coupling between a magnetic core and winding and absorb leakage fluxes so as to obtain coil parts having good electromagnetic characteristics by forming a bobbin used for the coil parts of a resin mixed with magnetic powder to a shape at which the winding can be brought into close contact with the bobbin. CONSTITUTION:A bobbin 2 is formed of a resin mixed with magnetic powder to a shape at which winding 3 can be brought into close contact with the bobbin 2. Namely, the bobbin 2 has a curved outer circumferential surface and a round cross section so that the winding 3 can be brought into close contact with the bobbin 2 and no air gap can be produced between them 2 and 3 when the winding 3 is wound around the bobbin 2. Moreover, since the magnetic powder is mixed in the bobbin 2 body, the powder improves the magnetic coupling between a magnetic core 1 and the winding 3 and absorbs leakage flux. Therefore, coil parts having good electromagnetic characteristics can be obtained, because the electromagnetic coupling between the core 1 and winding 3 is improved and leakage flux is absorbed.

However, in conventional coil parts, the cross-sectional shape of the magnetic core 11 is square, and the bobbin 12 is also square to match the stiffness, so when the winding 13 is applied to the bobbin 12,
Between the two 12 and 13, therefore, the magnetic core 11 and the winding 13
An air cap 14 is formed between the two. The reason why such an air cap 14 occurs is that it is difficult to bend the winding 13 at right angles and bring it into close contact with the bobbin 12.

For this reason, in conventional coil components, the existence of the air cap causes a problem in that the magnetic coupling between the magnetic core 11 and the winding 13 decreases, and leakage magnetic flux increases. Especially at high frequencies, this problem was unavoidable.

According to the above configuration, no air cap occurs between the hobbin and the winding, and thus between the magnetic core and the winding. Further, the magnetic powder mixed in the bobbin can improve the magnetic coupling between the magnetic core and the winding, and absorb leakage magnetic flux.

The purpose of making the wire round in this way is to make the curvature of the winding wire 3 as close as possible to the curvature of the outer circumferential surface of the hobbin 2, so that both 2 and 3 are brought into close contact with each other. Further, the hobbin 2 is molded from resin mixed with magnetic powder. In this example, the mixing ratio of the magnetic powder is 50% by weight.
