DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a common (in-phase) mode coil that is effective in reducing noise in normal (differential) mode as well, and a magnetic core used therein. This magnetic core has a shape that integrates a ring-shaped portion and a central protrusion extending along its diameter, and a magnetic gap is provided in the central protrusion to prevent magnetic saturation. Such a common mode coil is used as a noise filter alone or in combination with a capacitor or the like. [Prior Art 1] Noise filters are used to prevent the intrusion and generation of noise and to prevent malfunctions of various electronic devices. A noise filter generally consists of a combination of a common mode coil, a normal mode coil, and a plurality of capacitors. A common mode coil usually has a structure in which two wires are wound in opposite directions around a ring-shaped magnetic core. When you apply alternating current to it, current flows in the opposite direction to both windings, so
Magnetic fluxes in opposite directions occur in the magnetic core and cancel each other out, so magnetic saturation does not occur even with large power supply currents. Since it acts as a high impedance inductor for common mode noise propagating between the tll line and ground, the common mode noise can be attenuated. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] As mentioned above, conventional common mode coils only have the effect of attenuating common mode noise, and normal mode noise is suppressed by using a normal mode capacitor.
If even greater attenuation was required, a separate normal mode coil had to be combined. The common mode coil and normal mode coil are completely separate members, and the insulation between the magnetic core and the @ wire and! ! It is necessary to ensure a certain insulation distance between the glands. For this reason, it has become larger,
This had the disadvantage that it required a large space as a noise filter. The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate the drawbacks of the prior art as described above, and to attenuate common mode noise.
The object of the present invention is to provide a common mode coil and a magnetic core for use in the common mode coil that can simultaneously perform the function of reducing normal mode noise. [Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above objects, the common mode magnetic core of the present invention includes a ring-shaped portion and a central protrusion extending along the diameter of the ring-shaped portion and having a magnetic gap. For example, the central protrusions extend toward the center from opposing inner peripheral sides of the ring-shaped portion, and have a shape such that a magnetic gap is provided at the center. The magnetic core material may be the same as the material conventionally used for this type of common mode magnetic core, such as a ferrite core or a dust core. A common mode coil has a structure in which such a magnetic core is housed in an insulating case made of synthetic resin, and windings are wound in opposite directions around half-ring-shaped areas partitioned by a central protrusion. [Operation] When an alternating current is passed through the coil, currents in opposite directions flow through both windings, so magnetic fluxes in opposite directions are generated in the ring-shaped portion of the magnetic core and cancel each other out.As a result, as in the conventional case,
Common mode noise is attenuated. In the present invention, a portion of the generated magnetic flux also passes through the central protrusion of the magnetic core. Therefore, the central protrusion and the winding act like an L-turn coil for current, reducing normal mode noise. Here, the magnetic gap provided in the central protrusion serves to prevent magnetic saturation of the magnetic core. Although the coil according to the present invention has the effect of reducing normal mode noise in addition to the effect of attenuating common mode noise, it is basically a modification of the common mode coil. [Embodiment] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of a common mode magnetic core according to the present invention. As shown in the figure, this magnetic core 10 is
The structure is such that the ring-shaped portion 12 and the central protrusion 14 extending along the diameter thereof are integrated, and the central protrusion 14 is provided with a magnetic gap 16. In this embodiment, the central protrusions 14 extend toward the center from opposing inner peripheral sides of the ring-shaped portion 2, and define a magnetic gap 16 in the center. The magnetic core 10 is, for example, an integral product such as a ferrite core or a dust core. The central protrusion is made longer and only on one side, and extends from one side of the opposing inner periphery of the ring-shaped part toward the other, with a magnetic gap existing between its tip and the other inner periphery. structure, that is, the magnetic gap does not necessarily have to be located at the center of the magnetic core. To configure a common mode coil, such a magnetic core 1
0 is housed in an insulating case made of synthetic 4M resin, and wire rods 18 are wound in opposite directions around the half-ring-shaped area partitioned by the central protrusion, as shown in FIG. The insulating case functions to insulate between the magnetic core and the windings and to maintain a predetermined insulation distance between both windings. When an alternating current I is passed through this coil, currents in opposite directions flow through the windings L+ and Lx, which are wound in opposite directions, so the magnetic fluxes generated thereby (indicated by &11a) are in opposite directions and cancel each other out. This operation is similar to a conventional common mode coil. Therefore, for common mode noise propagating between the power supply line and the ground, Lx becomes a high impedance inductor and can be attenuated. In the present invention, a central protrusion 14 is further provided. Therefore, a part of the magnetic flux generated by tit, , t flows through the central protrusion 14 as shown by break 1b. In other words, the central protrusion 14 and the @ wire form an l-turn coil for the power supply line, reducing normal mode noise. Note that the magnetic gap 16 provided in the central protrusion 14 functions to prevent magnetic saturation with respect to alternating current. In this way, the common mode coil according to the present invention can basically attenuate common mode noise in the same manner as the conventional coil, and furthermore, it can also achieve the effect of reducing normal mode noise. [Effects of the Invention] As described above, the present invention includes an integrated magnetic core in which a central protrusion having a magnetic gap is formed in the center of a ring-shaped portion, and a common mode coil using the same. Common mode coil t! The line can both attenuate common mode noise and reduce normal mode noise. Therefore, depending on the case, there is no need to separately provide a normal mode coil, and even if it is necessary to install a normal mode coil, it can be made smaller, and the noise filter as a whole can be made smaller. Since the common mode magnetic core of the present invention has a structure in which the ring-shaped portion and the central protrusion are integrated, the number of parts does not increase, and handling is not particularly complicated.
