Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はケージの中に新鮮な空気を送り込んでマウス、
ラット等の実験動物を飼育する装置に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
ケージの中に雑菌を含まない新鮮な空気を送り込んでマ
ウス、ラット等の実験動物を飼育する方法が新しく開発
されている。ケージには、ケージ内を密封する関係上、
箱形ケージが使用され、ケージ上面開放口には被せ蓋が
載せられ、ケージ後部側壁には、空気送り込み口、排気
口、及び自動給水器の水呑細管挿入口が設けられている
が、ケージは一般に、飼育棚枠に挿置して飼育するもの
であるから、ケージを棚枠に挿置した場合、棚枠に配設
されている空気送り込み管口、排気管口、自動給水器の
水呑細管口とそれぞれ連絡し、それぞれのケージ後部開
放口は密封されるようになっている。しかし、ケージを
棚枠に挿置して飼育時、ケージ内の動物は運動時、ケー
ジ上面の蓋を動かしてずらし、ケージ内の空気をケージ
外に漏出させたりし、又ケージから逃げ出したりするこ
とがある。ケージ蓋を動かぬように止める手段は工夫さ
れているが、ケージから動物を出し入れる度毎に止め部
材を操作することは煩雑である。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
本発明はケージの上蓋を、ケージ側の止め具によって動
かぬようにしようとする考想てなく、ケージを飼育棚枠
に挿入すればその挿入によってケージの蓋及びケージ本
体がずれたり、ぶれたりしないようになさんとするもの
である。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本発明は飼育棚枠の前後の枠部に、ケージ挿入方向に複
数個の板ばねを配設し、この板ばね下面の弾発力によっ
て挿入するケースの蓋上面を下方に押圧して、ケース蓋
及びケース本体のずれやぶれを防止するものである。
〔実施例〕
本発明の実施例を第１図乃至第４図により説明する。第
１図はマウス、ラット等の実験動物を飼育するプラスチ
ック製の箱形ケージを示すもので、このケージ１の両側
上部縁２．３は外方に鍔状に形成されていて、後述の飼
育棚枠両側のガイドレール上に載って挿入されるように
なっている。４はケージ１の上部開放口を封鎖するよう
にケージ開放口に載置された蓋で、この蓋の前半部５は
上方に開けるように後半部６に対して蝶番７で連結され
ていて、後述のケージ１の前方内部に挿置される金属線
格子の給餌枠内に給餌補充するとき、この前半部の蓋５
は開閉されるものである。８．９．１０はケージ１の後
部側壁に設けた穴で、８．９は空気送り込み管及び排気
管挿入口、１０は自動給水器の水呑細管挿入口である。
これらの穴は、後述するように、ケージを飼育棚枠に所
定の位置まで挿入したとき、飼育棚枠側に配設された空
気送り込み管口、排気管口及び自動給水器の水呑細管口
と連通し、これらの管に取付けられたゴム質カップによ
ってケージ穴口が密封されるようになっている。第２図
は飼育棚枠を示すもので、棚枠１１は上下複数段あり、
又各段の枠部１２も横方向に、ケージを複数個挿入でき
るように、ケージ横巾の寸法毎にガイドレール１３で分
割されている。又棚枠の各段枠部１２の後部内面側には
前述の空気送り込み管口１４、排気管口１５、及び自動
給水器の水呑細管口１６が配設されている。そしてこれ
らの基管には前述のケージ後部側壁の穴口を密封するゴ
ム質カップ１７が取付けられている。又各ガイドレール
１３の後端部にはケージを棚枠に所定位置まで挿入した
とき、その位置で後退しないように、ケージ上縁後端部
が係止するストッパ１８が取付けられている。第３図は
第２図に示す飼育棚枠の各段のケージ挿入枠部の１コマ
を示すもので図面は飼育ケージを約半分挿入した状態を
示す。この第３図に示すように、第２図の飼育棚枠のケ
ージ挿入枠部には、すべて、挿入枠部の前方枠１９と後
方枠２０間に、ケージ挿入方向に、複数個の板ばね２１
が配設されていて、この板ばねの下面で挿入されるケー
ジの上面蓋部を下方に弾発的に押圧するようになってい
る。第４図において２２はケージ内底に入れた木屑、２
３は金属線格子の給餌枠、２４は給餌枠内に挿置される
金属線格子の餌箱で、この餌箱に餌を入れて、餌の取換
え補給するようになっている。
〔作用効果〕
本発明飼育装置は上述のように、飼育ケージの蓋は、ケ
ージ上部開放口を封鎖するために、ケージ開放口に載置
するだけで、特に蓋の移動防止のために、止め金具等を
施さずとも、ケージを挿着する飼育棚枠側の前後の枠間
に、ケージ挿入方向に複数個の板ばねを配設したので、
ケージを飼育棚枠に挿入するとき、ケージ蓋の上面が板
ばね下面の比較的広い面積で接触し、その弾発力により
常にケージ蓋上面が下方に押圧されるから蓋は勿論、ケ
ージ本体も上下、左右にずれ動くことがない。又ケージ
を飼育棚枠に挿着した後、動物の運動によりいたずらし
て蓋を動かそうとしてもずれないので、ケージ内の空気
の漏れを防止でき、又動物の逃げ出しも防止できる。又
、飼育動物をケージより取出したり、又挿入する場合、
ケージ蓋の止め金具を外したり、しめたりする必要がな
いのでその操作を簡易迅速に行うことができる。さらに
又餌の取替え、補充のとき、ケージを飼育棚枠より少し
く引出して、ケージ上面の蓋の前半部を上方に開く操作
を行う場合、ケージ蓋の上面が、飼育棚枠側の板ばね下
面で常に押圧されているため、ケージ蓋部及びケージ本
体が移動しないので給餌操作を安全かつ迅速に行うこと
ができる等、実験動物の飼育装置として実用上の効果極
めて大なるものである。

第１図は本発明飼育装置の実験動物を入れる飼育ケージ
を示し、第２図は飼育ケージを並べて挿着する飼育棚枠
を示す。第３図は飼育棚枠のケージ挿入枠部のｌコマで

ケージ上部開放口に載置するケージ蓋５・・・・・・蓋

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １、上部開放口に蓋を有する箱形ケージに新鮮な空気を
    送り込んで、マウス、ラット等の実験動物を飼育する装
    置において、ケージを挿置する飼育棚枠には、箱形ケー
    ジを所定位置までガイドするレールを設け、かつ、飼育
    棚枠の前方枠部と後方枠部間には、ケージの挿入方向に
    、複数個の板ばねを配設し、この板ばねの下面で挿入す
    るケージ上部蓋の上面を押圧させることを特徴とするマ
    ウス、ラット等実験動物飼育装置。 ２、前記第１項記載の飼育装置において、箱形ケージの
    前方内部に金属線格子の給餌枠を挿置し、この給餌枠上
    面のケージ蓋部を上方に開けるように、蓋部を分割して
    蝶番で連結したことを特徴とするマウス、ラット等実験
    動物飼育装置。
