Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect the joint face against damage and to establish electrical stability by assembling a joint under a state where any one or both of the stress cone joint face of an insulation block and the insulation block joint face of the stress cone are applied with a protective cover. CONSTITUTION:A protective cover 4 to be employed in assembling of a cable joint is made of a transparent plastic of about 0.3mm thick having funnel shape conformable to the joint face with the stress cone 3 of an insulator block 2. The protective cover 4 is previously applied onto the joint face of the stress cone of the insulation block 2 and removed immediately before the stress cone 3 is jointed thereto. The protective cover 4 is then applied onto the joint face of the insulator block 2 and removed immediately before the insulator block 2 is jointed thereto.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a method for assembling a cable connection part in which a stress cone is pressed against an insulating block.

[Prior Art] -II. In the prefabricated joints of rubber/plastic cables, the main body of insulation is the pre-molded stress cone 3 (attached to the outer periphery of the insulation block 2 and cable core 1, as shown in FIG. 4). (hereinafter referred to as stress cone). The insulating properties of this connection are exhibited only when the stress cone 3 is brought into contact with the insulating block 2 with a constant pressure.

Therefore, the surface of the insulating block 2 that contacts the stress cone 3 and the surface of the stress cone 3 that contacts the insulating block 2 are very important and must not be damaged. The insulating block 2 is made of an epoxy seat or an epoxy insulator tube.

[Problem B to be solved by the invention] However, when assembling a cable connection part, it is necessary to move the insulating block over the cable conductor and to insert a fixing tool into the insulating block in order to fix the conductor connection part. There was a risk of damage to the surface of the insulating block that was bonded to the stress cone. On the other hand, since the stress cone 3 also moves on the cable insulator, there is a risk of damage to the joint surface of the insulating block of the stress cone 3.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a protective cover 4 used in the cable connection assembly method according to the present invention, which is made of transparent plastic with a thickness of about 0.31 mm and fits the surface to be joined to the stress cone of the insulating block. It has a trumpet-like shape. Before assembling the cable connection section, this protective cover 4 is attached to the joint surface of the stress cone 3 of the insulating block 2, as shown in Fig. 2, and is removed immediately before joining the stress cone 3 to the surface. It is something.
