In this case, the construction method is to lay a base material such as pierced or small material on the pillars and studs, affix waterproof paper on top of it, and then stretch wire lath etc. on top of it.
It was common practice to apply mortar coating.
However, all of this type of work was done on-site, which required a lot of manpower, and because the mortar needed to be cured, it took a long time to finish.

In recent years, a so-called drywall structure has been adopted in which a metal or inorganic siding material is pasted on the surface of the base material, but this structure requires curing after finishing. Although it has the advantage of being easy to apply, it has the disadvantage of being very time-consuming to attach.

The waterproof layer 22 constituting the exterior surface material 20 is selected to be waterproof and have good adhesive properties. For example, synthetic resins such as butyl rubber and rubberized asphalt are suitable, and are formed on the surface of the plywood 21 with an appropriate thickness. The lightweight mortar finish layer 23 formed on the upper surface of the waterproof layer 22 is formed by kneading foamed synthetic resin particles such as polyethylene, polystyrene, polyurethane, etc. with a high expansion ratio into cement mortar. The mixing ratio of the cement mortar and the foamed synthetic resin particles is adjusted as appropriate depending on the coating thickness and other finishing conditions.

The exterior panel 1 manufactured in this way has extremely high strength and rigidity as the panel frame 10, which is the skeleton, and the exterior panel material 20, which is the skin material, are integrated, so it can be used as it is as a structural frame of a building. After assembling the exterior panel 1, the wall can be completed by simply applying an interior finishing material such as wall cloth to the interior wall surface. Furthermore, it has multiple functions as an exterior material, such as being waterproof, lightweight, and decorative.
