Abstract

CONSTITUTION:In the document generating machine having an input means 20 for inputting character data and a format, that is, an editing condition, an editing means 40 for editing the character data in accordance with the editing condition, a storage means 30 for storing the edited data, a printing means 50 for printing successively the edited data, and a control means 10 for controlling the respective means 20-50, a format reading means 21 for reading directly a format from a document is provided. That is, by the format reading means 21, the format is read directly from the document, and under the control of the control means 10, a sentence is printed. In such a way, a complicated editing condition is inputted simply and the sentence is printed easily in accordance with its editing condition.
