Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the sewing efficiency of a curtain and easily obtain upper and lower parallel seams without requiring a skill by moving a running sewing machine for sewing the end section of a curtain fabric along the lower face of a curtain pinching table in which a fabric receiving table is faced forward. CONSTITUTION:A horizontally running cutter 26 is run from one end to the other end in the width direction to cut a curtain fabric F horizontally between the first table plate 19 of a curtain pinching table 21 and a pad plate 29 below, i.e., between upper and lower presser bars 31, 32, then the piston rod 14 of a table air cylinder 13 is protruded downward, and a curtain air cylinder 13 at the downward position is rotated by 90 deg. to the forward position. The end section of the curtain fabric F is slightly protruded from the end edge of the first table plate 19, a running sewing machine 40 on the side of a stanchion 1 is run under this condition, a core tape 50 is overlapped on the end section of the curtain fabric F protruded from the front end section of the second table plate 20, the overlapped sections are sewn along the edge, and the core tape 50 is sewn.

(Conventional technology) The method for sewing curtains is to wrap one end of the curtain material (the part that will become the hem when the curtain is hung), which has been cut slightly longer than the predetermined length three times, and then sew the hem. , hang this curtain fabric with the hem seam facing up and spread it out in the width direction, cut the lower part of this curtain fabric horizontally at the desired height, and then hang this curtain fabric with the hem seam facing up. There is a method in which the core tape is removed and carried to an overlock sewing machine, a core tape made of synthetic resin film is layered on the top of the core tape, and the edges are sewn together.Furthermore, this core tape is folded to wrap around the core tape and sewn together. Are known. FIG. 4 shows a curtain fabric F with interlining, where Fa is the hem seam part, Fb is the interlining part, and S is the interlining tape.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the above method, the curtain fabric is hung from above, its length is determined, and then it is removed and carried to a sewing machine in a different position, where the direction of the curtain fabric is adjusted again. After determining the position, the tape is manually layered on the top of the curtain fabric, and the curtain fabric is pulled while stitching, which is inefficient and has low productivity, and the seams tend to bend, requiring skill. There was a problem.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The curtain length determining and sewing device of the present invention is a curtain hanging beam that can be raised and lowered, and is provided with a clip for holding curtain fabric in a spread state on the front side of a beam that is long in the width direction. and a horizontal running cutter installed below the curtain hanging beam to cut the lower end of the curtain fabric suspended from the curtain hanging beam in the width direction at a desired height. A curtain clamping table, which is made of two long openable and closable plates and can pivot between a downward position and a forward facing position with the width direction axis as a fulcrum, is installed. The present invention is characterized in that a traveling sewing machine for stitching the curtain end portion protruding from the front end of the clamping table is provided with a cloth holder so that the table moves along the lower surface of the curtain clamping table in the forward position.

(Function) Lower the curtain hanging beam, operate the clip on the front of it, and hang one end of the curtain fabric, which has been cut slightly longer than the predetermined length and has been either hemmed or hemmed, into the curtain. Fix the curtain fabric to the hanging beam while spreading it in the width direction. Next, this curtain hanging beam is raised to a desired height, and the lower part of the curtain fabric is passed between the two open plates of the curtain holding table in the downward position and guided to the front of the horizontally traveling cutter below. After the curtain clamping table is closed and the lower part of the curtain fabric is clamped, the cutter is driven to horizontally cut the lower end of the curtain fabric protruding below the curtain clamping table at a predetermined height. Next, this curtain clamping table is turned 90 degrees to a forward position, and then the traveling sewing machine in front is run to sew up the end of the curtain fabric protruding from the front end of the curtain clamping table, and after this sewing is completed, the curtain is closed. Open the clamping table and take out the lower end of the curtain fabric. In addition, when sewing with the above-mentioned traveling sewing machine, if the part held by the upper curtain hanging beam is hemmed, it will be interlined,
On the other hand, if the garment is tied up, the hem is sewn.

(Example) In FIG. 2, ``■'' is a column of a portal frame, and the middle portions of the left and right columns 1 and 1 are connected by an intermediate beam 2. Above this intermediate beam 2 are the above-mentioned left and right columns 1.1.
A curtain hanging beam 3 (see Fig. 1) that can be raised and lowered along the opposing surface is provided, and both ends of the beam are connected to a chain (not shown) that rotates in the vertical direction by a motor. It can be stopped at any height. A backing plate 4 in contact with the curtain fabric F is fixed to the front surface of the curtain hanging beam 3 (the right side in FIG. 1 is the front), and its upper edge is bent forward to form a projecting edge 4a. There is. Also, on the top surface of the curtain hanging beam 3, an L metal fitting 5 is installed.
A large number of air cylinders 6 are fixed at predetermined intervals through the air cylinders 6, and a presser arm 7 is fixed downwardly to the tip of the piston rod 6a protruding forward. A clip is formed to hold the upper end of the curtain fabric F, and the projecting edge 4a determines the mounting position of the curtain fabric F.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, this invention consists of two plates that are long in the width direction and can be opened and closed between the curtain hanging beam that can be raised and lowered and the horizontally traveling cutter below. A curtain clamping table that can be rotated between a forward position and a forward facing position is provided, a traveling sewing machine is placed in front of this curtain clamping table, and its cloth holder is arranged so that the table moves along the lower surface of the curtain clamping table in the forward facing position. Because of this, after hanging the curtain material and cutting it to the desired length, the curtain clamping table is immediately rotated to the forward position and the traveling sewing machine is run to perform the desired sewing. Compared to this method, the upper and lower seams can be easily formed in parallel straight lines without requiring any skill, and the efficiency is improved.
