Conventional technology Conventionally, the above types of electroluminescent lamps have been made by enclosing organic EL elements in an outer film. Fluorine-based films such as ethylene trifluoride film, which has excellent moisture permeability, are used. In such an electroluminescent lamp, light emitted from the organic EL element is emitted to the outside through the outer film.

Problems that the invention aims to solve: However, the trifluoroethylene film used as the outer skin film is itself soft and easily damaged, so it may be damaged during handling during the manufacturing process of electroluminescent lamps. Manufactured electroluminescent lamps are often damaged during actual use, and if the outer film is scratched, the light emitted from the organic EL element will be diffusely reflected at the scratched parts of the outer film. , it may become unsightly and reduce the product value. In some cases, it may become unusable.

On the other hand, the trifluoroethylene film used for the outer skin film originally has many fine scratches on its surface due to the manufacturing technology problem of extruding the raw material through the film extrusion hole of a forming die. often have. Therefore, electroluminescent lamps using trifluoroethylene film as the outer film can be damaged or damaged during the manufacturing process of the electroluminescent lamp or during actual use.
The light emitted from the organic EL element is likely to be diffusely reflected by the outer film, resulting in low commercial value. Furthermore, in some cases, the product may become defective and unsuitable for use. Therefore, if the fluidity of the raw material is increased by increasing the proportion of additives such as plasticizers in the raw material, the produced ethylene trifluoride film will be free from scratches, but if The moisture resistance of ethylene trifluoride film decreases, making it often unsuitable for use as an outer film for electroluminescent lamps that use organic EL devices that are susceptible to moisture.

The present invention improves the above-mentioned conventional problems, and by using trifluoroethylene film as the outer skin film, it not only ensures the moisture resistance required for electroluminescent lamps, but also allows the use of soft trifluoroethylene film. Even when used as a skin film, there is almost no risk that the ethylene trifluoride film will be damaged during actual use, and the ethylene trifluoride film that was damaged during the manufacturing process of electroluminescent lamps can be used as a skin film or manufactured. Even in electroluminescent lamps where ethylene trifluoride film, which has been damaged due to technical problems, is used as the outer film,
It is an object of the present invention to provide an electroluminescent lamp that does not cause deterioration in light emission characteristics due to diffuse reflection of light emitted from an organic EL element.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the electroluminescent lamp of the present invention has a protective film harder than the outer skin film pasted on the outer surface of the outer skin film made of fluoride resin film through an adhesive layer. The main point lies in the following points.

Function According to the electroluminescent lamp having the above structure, even if a soft and easily damaged ethylene trifluoride film is used as the outer skin film, the ethylene trifluoride film is covered with the protective film and protected from scratches.
Furthermore, even if the ethylene trifluoride film is damaged, the damage can be repaired by filling it with an adhesive layer.

In the electroluminescent lamp illustrated in FIG. 1, 1 is an organic EL element, 2 and 3 are leads, 4 and 4 are outer films, and 5 and 5 are protective films. The organic EL element 1 is enclosed with outer films 4, 4. Trifluoroethylene film is used for the outer skin films 4, 4 as described above. protective film 5,
The material 5 is made of a material that has excellent transparency and is less susceptible to scratches than the outer skin film 4, for example, when the outer skin film 4 is a trifluoroethylene film, it is made of a synthetic resin such as polyester or polypropylene. Further, as shown in detail in FIG.

Note that the glue layers 6, 6 are transparent.

In such an electroluminescent lamp, the organic EL element 1 is encapsulated with outer skin films 4, 4 made of ethylene trifluoride film and protective films 5, 5, as in the conventional electroluminescent lamp described above. Its moisture resistance is superior to that of conventional electroluminescent lamps. Further, the outer skin films 4, 4 are protected by the protective films 5, 5, and since the protective films 5, 5 are made of a material that is less likely to be damaged than the outer skin films 4, 4, the outer skin films 4, 4 are protected by protective films 5, 5. Not only is scratching of the protective films 5, 5 prevented from occurring, but also scratches are less likely to occur if the surfaces of the protective films 5, 5 are scratched.

According to the electroluminescent lamp having the above configuration, it is possible not only to use the case where the outer films 4, 4 are not damaged, but also when the outer films 4, 4 are damaged during the manufacturing process of the electroluminescent lamp or due to the manufacturing technology of the outer films 4, 4. Even when the outer skin films 4, 4, which were originally damaged due to the above problem, were used, the light emitting characteristics did not deteriorate due to diffuse reflection of the light emitted from the organic EL element 1. The reason why the light emitting characteristics do not deteriorate due to diffuse reflection of light even if the outer skin films 4, 4 are scratched is that the third
As shown in the figure, this is thought to be because the scratches 7 on the outer skin films 4, 4 were filled in with the glue layer 6 and repaired.

In the electroluminescent lamp in which the protective films 5, 5 are attached to the outer surfaces of the outer skin films 4, 4 via the adhesive layers 6, 6 as described above, the surfaces of the protective films 5, 5 are lightly sandblasted. If it is treated to make it cloudy and non-reflective, it will emit halftone light similar to a translucent liquid crystal module. Furthermore, if the surfaces of the outer skin films 4, 4 are sandblasted and the protective films 5, 5 are pasted thereon, the adhesive layers 6, 6 can bond the outer skin films 4, 4 and the protective films 5, 5 together. This has the advantage that the area becomes larger and the adhesive strength increases.
In this case as well, the countless scratches on the outer skin films 4, 4 caused by the sandblasting are filled and repaired by the adhesive layers 6, 6.

Effects of the invention As described above, according to the electroluminescent lamp of the invention, although the moisture resistance equivalent to that of conventional electroluminescent lamps is secured by using trifluoroethylene film as the outer film, A problem when using fluorinated ethylene film was that the luminescent properties deteriorated due to scratches during actual use.
This eliminates the drawbacks that occur when the light emitted from the EL element is diffusely reflected at scratches on the outer film, making it unsightly or unusable. In addition, even if the outer skin film made of trifluoroethylene film used in electroluminescent lamps is originally scratched, or even if the outer skin film is scratched during the manufacturing process of the electroluminescent lamp, the scratches will be removed by the glue layer. Since the product is repaired by the formation of scratches on the outer skin film, it is no longer determined that the product is defective because there is a scratch on the outer skin film, and there is an advantage that the product can be determined to be a good product.
