Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily peel off a cover tape by a method wherein the surface of a carrier tape on which a cover tape is bonded is provided with projections and indents by means of crimping process, and the cover tape is stuck to the tops of the projections. CONSTITUTION:A carrier tape (t1), drawn out of a roller (r), is heated with a heating device 2 and then is applied with crimping process (a process to provide small projections and indents to the surface), while the tape is being drawn through a heating roller 36 and a pressing roller 35. After this, pockets are formed on the surface of the tape at specified intervals with a forming device 4 and chip-shaped electronic parts are inserted into the pockets with a filling device 5. The carrier tape is then covered with a cover tape (t2) and both the carrier tape (t1) and the cover tape (t2) are bonded and sealed with a pair of sealing rolls 61, 62 of a sealing device 6. In bonding of the tapes, the cover tape (t2) is stuck to tops of the projections that are provided to the surface of the carrier tape (t1) along with the indents. Therefore adhesive strength of the tapes is relatively weak in terms of packaging method, allowing the cover tape (t2) to be peeled off from the carrier tape (t1) by small strength.

Incidentally, the electronic components colored in this manner are removed by peeling off the cover tape t2 from the carrier tape t1 as shown in No. 6I21 during the assembly process using the electronic components, but they cannot be taken out using the conventional packaging method. - When packaged, the surface of the carrier tape is clear and the surface is heat-sealed to the cover tape, so the cover tape adheres strongly to the carrier tape and a large force must be applied to peel the cover tape. There is a problem that cannot be solved.

(d) Means for Solving the Problems One of the inventions of the present application is to heat a band-shaped carrier tape to form a pocket, fill the pocket with an article, and then cover the carrier tape with a cover tape. In a packaging method for an article, in which a cover tape and a cover tape are adhesively sealed, at least the surface of the carrier tape to which the cover tape is bonded is textured to form unevenness in advance, and the cover tape is adhered to the convex surface of the unevenness. It is structured so that it can be easily peeled off from the carrier tape.

In FIGS. 2 and 3, the graining device 3 extends perpendicularly to the advancing direction of the carrier tape t1, and the frame 3
1, a lever 33 rotatably supported by a bottle 32; a support 34 rotatably supported by a shaft 34a at the tip of the lever 33 (the left end in FIG. 2); A freely attached presser roller 35 cooperates with the presser roller 35 to release the carrier tape 1. and a heating roller 36 that sandwiches the. The outer peripheral surface of the heating roller 36 is textured (small irregularities). A six 37 is formed on the support body 34, and a bottle 38 that fits into the six 37 is fixed to the lever 33.

In the above configuration, the carrier chi-two t1 pulled out from the roll r is sandwiched between the heating roller 36 of the graining device 3 heated by the heating device 2 and the presser roller 35, and is grained, that is, small irregularities are formed. will be applied. Thereafter, the molding device 4 forms pockets (p) to p at predetermined intervals, and the filling device 5 inserts the chip-shaped electronic component into the pocket p. Then, the cover tape t2 is covered from above, and the carrier tape 1 and the cover tape t2 are adhesively sealed by a pair of seal rolls 61 and 62 of the sealing device 6. In this case, the upper surface of the carrier tape t1 has small irregularities formed by texturing, and the cover tape t2 adheres to the convex surface of the irregularities, so the adhesive force between the two is weaker than in the conventional packaging method. .

In the above embodiment, the texturing device was arranged upstream of the molding device 4 to apply the texturing to almost the entire surface of the carrier tape, but the texturing device was arranged between the forming device 4 and the filling device 5. (In this case, an annular groove is formed on the outer periphery of the heating roll 36 to receive the bulges formed on the carrier tape.) Then, only the portions along both side edges of the carrier tape (portions away from the bulges) are embossed. It may be processed.

(1.) Effects According to the present invention, since the surface of the carrier tape is textured, the cover tape can be peeled off smoothly with a small force. In addition, by preparing several types of heating rolls with different sizes or roughnesses of the textured irregularities and changing them as necessary, the cover tape and the carrier tape can be adhesively sealed with the sealing strength of the designated person.
