Water-based printing inks containing high-boiling point water-soluble organic solvents as main components have come into use.

という問題があった。(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, since the printing ink dries quickly, when it is used, the printing ink is spread on a non-absorbing surface such as a kneading board using a roller, etc., and transferred to a printing block quickly. There was a problem in that it required a lot of work and was particularly difficult for lower grade children to handle.

At the same time, no solution has been found that does not cause the above-mentioned "decrease in the dryness of prints" and "bleeding of prints".

A printing ink which is intended for the purpose of obtaining a product and is composed of at least a pigment, an alkali-soluble resin, and a high-boiling water-soluble organic solvent, and further contains a water-soluble polyoxyethylene glycerin fatty acid ester. The gist of this invention is a printing ink composition characterized by the following.

It is something that can be done. As the fatty acid, those using stearic acid or oleic acid are preferred. In order to be water-soluble, it is necessary to adjust the number of carbon atoms in the fatty acid and the number of moles of addition polymerization of ethylene oxide, but it is particularly good if the HLB is 10 or more. Specific examples of water-soluble polyoxyethylene glycerin fatty acid esters include ADEKANOL NK-10, ADEKANOL NK-15, and ADEKANOL NK-20 (all of which are Kadenka Kogyo Co., Ltd.
, Emmalex GWIS-305 (Japan Emulsion■
), Niracol TMGO-15, Niracol TMGS-15 (
(manufactured by Nippon Surfactant Kogyo), Poem S-1
20, ○-120 (manufactured by Riken Vitamin ■), etc., and the amount used is 0 based on the total amount of the printing ink composition.
.. 5 to 5% by weight is preferred. Here, HLB is a numerical expression of the balance between hydrophilicity and lipophilicity, and in the case of nonionic surfactants (HLB = weight % of hydrophilic groups
115).

Since it has the effect of suppressing evaporation, it is presumed that it greatly suppresses the drying of printing ink on the non-absorbing surface. Furthermore, since this printmaking ink does not have an increased proportion of high-boiling point water-soluble organic solvents, it does not cause bleeding in the printwork.
