Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a cylindrical case having grain in its outer periphery simply and inexpensively by fixing the bark of lumber in a multiply wound state. CONSTITUTION:The present case is composed of a barrel part 2 formed into a square shape, and a bottom plate 3 that is fitted to the inner periphery 2a of the barrel part 2, and fixed by an adhesive or the like to the inner periphery 2a of the barrel part 2 in its outer periphery 3a. The aquare-shaped barrel part 2 is formed such that continuous bark 5 is made by peeling at first from the surface of lumber into a thin skin by means of a cutting device, and the bark formed in this manner is wound in multiple relation around the outer periphery 6a of a predetermined-shaped male molding mold 6, and the faces 5a, 5a of the bark 5 coming into contact with each other are fastened by an adhesive agent, and thereafter, the dark 5 fastened by the adhesive 7 is removed from the male molding mold. Since the relatively light bark 5 is handled, the construction thereof is made simple, and the process can be performed quickly, moreover, the cost can be reduced in the manufacturing process.

Flower pot covers, dust boxes, and the like are generally formed by molding thin sheets of synthetic resin or metal, and their surfaces are rather plain. In some places, these surfaces are used to create wood grains by printing or painting, but they have not yet been able to create a natural effect. By the way, when forming a cylindrical object having a natural wood grain on its outer peripheral surface, conventionally it is formed by piercing the inside of a single thick piece of wood.

As mentioned above, when cutting through the inside of a thick tree to form a cylindrical object with wood grain on the outer surface, there are many parts to penetrate, and in addition, the thick tree is heavy, so it takes time and effort. There was a problem with poor productivity. However, the pierced part cannot be used, and only one cylindrical object can be removed from one thick, expensive tree, resulting in poor yields and high prices. Therefore, the present invention was proposed in view of the above problems.
The object of the present invention is to enable easy and inexpensive manufacture of a cylindrical object having wood grains on the outer circumferential surface.

First, a thin layer of wood is peeled from its surface to form a peel. Next, this peeled skin is wrapped in multiple layers around a mold of a desired shape, on the surface of the male mold, or on the inner circumferential surface of the female mold. Also, the peeled skin is first formed into a tapered ring shape, and this is fitted inside and outside. Thereafter, the peeled skin is fixed with a fixing means such as adhesive and removed from the mold to form a wooden cylinder having a desired shape and having natural wood grains.

Embodiments of the wooden cylindrical article according to the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. <Embodiment 1> FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a wooden cylindrical object used as a flowerpot cover for storing a flowerpot, and the reference numeral 1 in the figure indicates the wooden cylindrical object as a whole. This wooden cylindrical object l is fitted into a barrel portion 2 formed into a rectangular tube shape, an inner peripheral surface 2a of the barrel portion 2, and a peripheral surface 3a of the barrel portion 2.
consists of a bottom plate 3 fixed to the inner circumferential surface 2a of the barrel portion 2 with an adhesive or the like. As shown in FIG. 2, the rectangular barrel portion 2 is first peeled off into thin pieces from the surface 4a of the tree 4 using a cutting device (not shown) to form a continuous peeled piece 5. The peeled skin 5 thus formed is then molded into a male mold of a predetermined shape (
After wrapping it multiple times around the outer peripheral surface 6a of the mold material 6 and fixing the surfaces 5a and 5a of the peeled skin 5 in contact with each other with adhesive, it was fixed from the male mold 6 for molding with an adhesive (fixing means) 7. It is formed by removing the stripped skin 5. At this time, after applying a mold release agent to the surface of the male molding die 6, the peeling skin 5 impregnated with a synthetic resin (fixing means) in advance is wrapped around the outer peripheral surface 6a of the male molding die 6 in multiple layers. The synthetic resin may be solidified. In such a case, the entire surface of the peeled skin 5 is covered with the synthetic resin, so that its durability can be greatly improved. Further, as a means for fixing the peeled skin 5 wound around the surface of the male mold 6 for molding, it goes without saying that double-sided tape may be attached to one side of the peeled skin 5. In the above embodiment, a square barrel is formed by wrapping the peeled skin around the surface of the male mold, but when using a female mold (mold material), the cavity of the male mold is wrapped. Glue the peeled skin in multiple layers along the inner circumference. Further, in the above embodiment, the barrel portion is formed into a square tube shape, but it goes without saying that it can be formed into a circle, an ellipse, a triangle, or a polygon having more than five sides. Furthermore, although the above embodiment has been explained using a flower pot cover as an example, it goes without saying that this can also be used as a dust container. Example 2 The wooden cylindrical object l according to this example is produced by forming a tapered annular cylinder 8 with a tapered annular cylinder 8 having a smaller diameter at the lower end of the peeled skin 5, and fitting the annular cylinder 8 inside and out. The barrel portion 2 is formed by fixing with fixing means such as adhesive. In this case, the strength of the wooden cylindrical object l can be improved by shifting the positions of the joints 9 of the annular cylindrical body 8 that abut each other on the inside and outside of the joints 9 forming the tapered annular cylindrical body 8. It is possible to do so. Of course, the remaining core material after forming the peeled skin can also be used by slicing it in a direction perpendicular to the axis.

As explained above, the wooden cylindrical article according to the present invention is made by wrapping the peeled bark of a tree in multiple layers and fixing it.
Since it handles relatively light peeled bark, it is possible to easily and quickly manufacture wooden cylindrical objects, and it is also possible to make cylindrical objects with wood grains on the outer surface by piercing the inside of a single thick and relatively heavy tree. It has the advantage that processing time can be significantly shortened compared to the conventional case of forming, and productivity can be significantly improved. In addition, since peeling is done by cutting the surface of the tree, it is possible to use almost every inch of the tree.
It also has the advantage of being able to manufacture large quantities of wooden cylindrical objects that make use of the beautiful wood grain even from expensive wood, thereby reducing costs.
