<Conventional technology and its issues> Conventionally, organic solvents such as chlorofluorocarbons, trichloroethane, and fluorocarbons have been used to clean dirt from oils, fats, and resins adhering to liquid crystal parts, but these solvents have a particularly weak ability to dissolve resins, so they are difficult to clean. The aim was to improve the cleaning effect by using ultrasonic waves. Therefore, the cleaning process is troublesome and, in some cases, there is a risk that the liquid crystal components may be damaged by the ultrasonic waves.

Furthermore, the above-mentioned organic solvents are not preferred from the viewpoint of safety and hygiene or safety management. In particular, fluorocarbons and trichloroethane are said to be substances that cause depletion of the earth's ozone layer, and their use in large quantities is being regulated by international agreements, so their use will virtually no longer be possible.

The present invention has been made by focusing on such conventional technology, and aims to provide a cleaning composition for liquid crystal parts that is highly effective in cleaning without using ultrasonic waves, is non-toxic, and does not have a negative impact on the environment. That is.

Means for Solving the Problems> In order to achieve the above object, the cleaning composition for liquid crystal parts according to the present invention contains a terpene compound and, if necessary, 40 wt%.
It was configured to include the following surfactants.

These terpene compounds can be used alone and form a complex with the dirt (oils and fats) on the liquid crystal component and are removed after removal by flushing with excess terpene or by adhering to paper or cloth. . However, terpenes are not flushed directly with water because they are almost completely water-insoluble. Alternatively and preferably, the terpene compound is combined with one or more terpene emulsifying surfactants. The addition of such surfactants facilitates the removal of terpenes from the liquid crystal component because upon rinsing with water, the terpenes form an oil-in-water emulsion. This terpene compound is non-toxic and biodegradable to the environment, unlike conventionally used organic solvents. Limonene is a natural product found in various ethereal oils such as lemon, orange, caraway, dill and bergamot oils, which have a pleasant lemon odor.

The surfactant may be nonionic, anionic, cationic, or amphoteric. In particular, such as, but not limited to, linear alkyl benzene sulfonates, linear or branched alcohol ethoxylates and ethoxy sulfates, polysorbate esters, ethoxylated alkyl phenols, and alkyl and dialkyl succinate compounds, Those that can emulsify terpenes can also be used. One example of the latter compound is sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate. Ethoxylated alkylphenols contain various alkyl side chains and multiple linked ethylene oxide units. Useful compounds of this class contain about 5 to 20, preferably 7 or 8 ethylene oxide groups.

<Example> Cleaning compositions according to the present invention having the following compositions A to F were prepared, and a cleaning experiment for liquid crystal parts was conducted using these compositions. The experimental method was as follows: First, a cleaning composition having the above composition was stored in a dipping tank, and a liquid crystal component, specifically 1.
100X80X2. made of Ot base glass and 1°Ol top sealing glass. A nematic liquid crystal display device of Ot (the gap between the glasses is about 8 μm) was immersed. Then, after being immersed in a soaking tank for a predetermined period of time,
It was taken out, washed with ultrapure water, and dried. The results were good as shown below, and even when the liquid crystal protruding from the glass display part was observed using a polarizing microscope, no dirt such as oil or fat could be detected on the surface of the liquid crystal component after cleaning.
