Abstract

PURPOSE:To plate a pressure roll at a high efficiency and high performance by successively providing a vertical type electrolytically degreasing tank, an alkali rinsing tank, a plating tank and a plating rinsing tank and traveling a transfer placing machine for hanging the pressure roll to the upper parts of the respective tanks. CONSTITUTION:A vertical type electrolytically degreasing tank 3, an alkali rinsing tank 4, a plating tank 5 and a plating rinsing tank 6 are buried rectilinearly and successively at intervals of about 5m to the lower part having water level lower than the floor level L of a building of a roll plating equipment. Further a trestle 8 is provided to the upper parts of the respective tanks and a freely elevatable transfer placing machine 2 for hanging a pressure roll is traveled. ln this constitution, the pressure roll 1 is hung by the freely elevatable transfer placing machine 2 and traveled on the trestle 8 in a roll hanging place 7. The pressure-roll 1 is successively immersed in the tank 3, the tank 4, the tank 5 and the tank 6 and treatment is performed. Thereby plating thickness on the surface of the roll is uniformed and efficiency of plating work is enhanced.

For example, in the case of a roll dipping tank, there are many things that need to be clarified, such as how many types of tanks are needed in addition to the plating tank, and how the layout between each type of tank should be arranged. At present, both horizontal and horizontal types are used.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As described above, it can be said that the conventional roll surface plating equipment does not have an optimal process, which hinders the improvement of the performance of plating rolls, and currently there is no improvement in this. is strongly requested. In order to meet such demands, the present invention aims to provide plating equipment with excellent performance in plating the surfaces of rolls.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the gist of the present invention is to sequentially arrange a vertical electrolytic degreasing tank, an alkali rinsing tank, a plating tank, and a plating rinsing tank, and This roll plating equipment is equipped with a transfer machine that suspends the rolls vertically from a stand installed in the machine and allows the rolls to be moved up and down.

In other words, the second feature of this plating equipment is that four tanks are arranged in sequence: an electrolytic degreasing tank, an alkaline rinsing tank, a plating tank, and a plating rinsing tank, in which the roll can be immersed in a suspended state. The tanks are buried in a building housing the plating equipment, and are arranged in a straight line with their respective intervals close to each other.

That is, as a result of the research conducted by the present inventor, the effectiveness of uniform plating thickness on the roll surface and plating work:! It has been found that a mold tank in which the rolls can be plated in a suspended state is best for improving the plating performance.

The reason for this is that by holding the roll vertically, the roll and electrode can be placed on the same circumference, and the plating is evenly deposited on the circumference.Furthermore, the liquid adhering to the roll runs out quickly, so that the next step is possible. This is because it can be quickly inserted into the tank and work efficiency is improved.

Furthermore, conventionally, as a pre-plating treatment, degreasing with an organic solvent such as trichlorethylene has been the mainstream, but it has been found that electrolytic degreasing of the roll is most effective for plating rolls. The reason is that H2 is electrolyzed from the roll surface.
Alternatively, surface y4 substances (oil, iron powder, etc.) can be quickly removed by uniformly releasing 02 from the entire surface of the roll.

Therefore, the optimum process for roll plating equipment is to provide all four types of mold baths, including the rinse baths for each chemical, an electrolytic degreasing bath, an alkaline rinse bath, a plating bath, and a plating rinse bath. Furthermore, in order to improve workability and reduce the height of the building, it is preferable that all tanks be buried below the floor level of the building.

Dirt and oxide film have been removed from the roll surface after rinsing with alkali, and the roll surface is in an activated state where it immediately oxidizes when exposed to the atmosphere after rinsing. This oxidation of the roll surface is an important point that must be prevented because it causes the plating to peel off. The inventors have found that, as a solution to this problem, it is optimal to immerse the roll surface in a plating bath without drying the roll surface after rinsing.

Similarly, between the plating tank and the plating rinse tank, or between the electrolytic degreasing tank and the alkaline rinse tank, immersing the rinse tank ferol for a short time is effective in preventing plating discoloration and electrolyte staining, and as above, the distance is within 5 m. The present invention will be explained with reference to the embodiment device layout diagrams shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. In FIG. 1, a rolling roll 1 is suspended by a transfer machine 2 that can be raised and lowered, and is placed at a building floor level L.
It is sequentially immersed in an electrolytic degreasing tank 3, an alkali rinsing tank 4, a plating tank 5, and a plating rinsing tank 6, which are installed below at a lower water level. In FIG. 2, the rolling rolls suspended from the roll suspension station 7 by the transfer machine 2 are processed in the order of electrolytic degreasing tank 3 - alkaline rinsing tank 4 -> plating tank 5 -> plating rinsing tank 6. Further, the interval between the six tanks is preferably 5 m in terms of the distance between the centers of the cylindrical tanks (tanks). Note that 8 is a pedestal.
